"A pet! That is all I will be to you. You will dress me up in your clothes, or buy me expensive things, and then show me off to your friends. That is how it works. Take some pauper girl who does not know any better and change her life. Right? Well, I know better than to fall into that trap. I am nobody's pet," Shanaya said to Zeenia.
"I never said you were." This was getting really ridiculous. What would make Shanaya think that Zeenia would demean her in such ways? No, she didn't care about paying for everyday items for Shanaya if that is what it came to, and she would expect nothing in return.
