The following day after breakfast, I set up a video call with my parents and sister inside the Astors’ library. I was seating on a couch, while Aaron had his laptop propped up on a separate table not far from me. He’s probably working. It’s Monday and he gladly said that he will wait for me to talk to my parents before he drops me home and drives to work.
My mom and sister were all smiles, while dad was frowning when the camera focused on them.
“Hi!” I was smiling too. Chirpy even. I had to set the mood.
“My baby!” It was my older sister, Catalina. We have a strong bond. Being the older one, she is very protective of me. Mom was waving at me.
