As someone who finds joy in solitude, Henry had specifically chosen to live on the outskirts of the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. He doesn't want the stress that comes with living in such environment..

Miriam stirred at the beeping notification sound of her phone. She stretched her 6 ft 1 long body to its full length and yawned loudly. Slowly easing her eyes open, she shone them at the ceiling. She stared blankly at the ceiling for a while before gently lifting her legs off the bed and placing it on the floor. Her nails were cut short and clean. No artificial or coloured nails. She is very tired and felt like burrowing back into the bed and going on another round of sleep.
Miriam wondered which i***t had woken her up from sleep with a damn message. Even though she could always put on phone of Do Not Disturb, She doesn't do that and for a very important reason. So far now, she will always have to suffer through the disturbance of unwanted texts.
She groggily rose up and sauntered toward her desk where the phone is. Miriam Okay is a very pretty woman. Well rounded hips, sharp and intense gray eyes, full lips and a heart warming smile when she wants to. And with a height that's above that of many women, men are usually intimidated by her.
Her beauty is one of the reasons why she got a work at the place that she is working at now. Her employees had told her that they needed her good looks for a personal reason.
Miriam grabbed her iPhone from the book on top of her desk and read the message.
"Gear up for play on the day of rest".
The sender was Henry obi. Miriam smiled. It was no i***t after all. She cringed at the thought of the smack Henry would have given her at the back of the head, had she said that his face. He would have brought out his tongue as he whooped a playful smack at the back of her head.
They were quite fond of each other. Miriam sat at the edge of her bed and read the message again. " In seven days". She muttered to herself.
She and her colleagues, Henry included had devised a coded and esoteric way of communicating among themselves, even though it is not a official thing of the agency.
In their world, a world where the most secretive person wins. A world where you can never know who is watching and listening to your every word and move. And those assumptions and suspicions are not unfounded, because their are people who do watch and listen. So they had devised a secret yet simple way to be communicating among themselves, so as to keep their discussions within a closed circle.
Miriam's face lit up with a sly smirk as she typed in her own message. "which of the play grounds?". She hit send and dropped the phone on her lap.
Henry's message was loud and clear. She understood every detail of it. Miriam needed no soothsayer to explain it to her.
Play means they have an "assignment" to carry out. Miriam smiled when she remembered where the idea of the "day of rest" came from. In the book of Genesis 1:6 "after creating everything and seeing that they were good, on the seventh day, God rested."
"Day of rest indeed" She mused to herself" In seven days".
In short, what Henry's message said, if interpreted in lay man terms mean is " Prepare for action in seven days".
Not long, her phone beeped indicating another message. It was from Henry, in response to her question. She peered down at it. "At the place where our man. "S" to "P" was going to wreak havoc before he was arrested by the man with a flashlight".
Acts 9:3 " AND AS HE JOURNEYED, HE CAME NEAR DAMASCUS. AND SUDDENLY, THERE SHINED ROU D ABOUT HIM A LIGHT FROM HEAVEN. HE FELL TO THE EARTH AND HEARD A VOICE SAYING UNTI HIM, SAUL, SAUL, WHY ARE THOU PERSECUTING ME?".
A broad smile flashed across Miriam's face as she recited the Bible verses in her head. The man was later converted and he took the name of Paul. She and her colleagues secret communicating language is mostly derived from the Bible. They had codified it to the extent that it seems impossible that anyone outside of their circle could ever break it.
Miriam dropped the phone back on her desk. " So damacus in seven days". She muttered to herself as she strolled to the full sized mirror in her bedroom.
She stood before the gigantic mirror gifted to her by her mom on her eighteenth birthday. Her mom had one force propelling her when she bought the $42 mirror, Modelling. She has wanted Miriam to be a model. A renowned and international beauty queen at that. Her mom, Mrs benedeth Okay, had dreamed of the day when she would be called the mother of the Miss universe. Like many people, she believed that her daughter had what it takes to make that a reality too. Back then, Miriam had also been in tune with her mother's dreams too. She had also wanted to be a international figure. And she was obsessively working on it till that fateful day. She clearly remembered the day when her mind's revolution began, the day which changed her from the innocent aspiring beauty queen she was, to the toughened up woman she is now. It was the events of that day that clicked off a chain reactions of events that led to where she is now. It was 5 years ago, on a cool breezy Saturday evening, just a month after her eighteenth birthday. She, her mom, her dad: Johnson Okay, and her two siblings, Grace, her younger sister, and Peter, her brother; where heading to the main amusement park in the city to have a fun family time together.
