Freddie
I couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve had enough of her attitude today and I was going to shut it down.
First, she dressed like a tease. There was no way she didn’t dress up like that unless it was for me. She knew what I liked her in. It had to have been her way of apologizing for her behavior yesterday. I thought it was a joke when she had sat in the single seat and was ignoring me at first when I tried talking to her. But no, she berated me again on how she needed space.
Then, she disrespected me in front of everyone in the lunchroom. I thought she would have apologized after what Leeann was yelling at her for. She always listened to Leeann. I knew Leeann would be able to get through to her. But no, she actually snapped on Leeann which was also directed towards me as well.
I was going to talk to soften her up during lunch, remind her why we are so good together. I sat there waiting. Putting up with having to listen to the complaints of a starving Leeann as she didn’t have any food since Persephone wasn’t there. While also bear with the stares I got from Lexa and Eliza who were also waiting for Persephone. But no, she didn’t even bother to show.
So finally, I waited in the hall to ambush her on her way out. I was determined to get her to know her place, which was next to me, and to knock it off with her temper tantrum. I didn’t even care that Leeann was tagging along. Though yesterday and today she didn’t prove useful, she still had a great track record of calming Persephone down. But no, Persephone nearly chewed our heads off and had the audacity to threaten me.
My anger fumed for the next several hours. I could not nor won’t allow her to treat me this way. She will learn not to mess with me. I waited I my car by her house, waiting for her to come home from work. As the time grew closer to her expected arrival, I got out and stood in her driveway. She was going to have to drive me over if she wanted to get inside.
She came around the corner and slowly pulled into the drive. Persephone stopped the car as if she were trying to see who was blocking the way. She honked her horn really quick, but I stayed my ground. I thought she would turn off the car and come and greet me. Instead, she continued to drive towards me.
I had no choice but to move since she was not stopping. I followed the car into the garage so that she wouldn’t be able to shut me out. She got out of the car silently and placed the food she was carrying on the counter by the door that led inside. She turned around and slammed the car door before glaring at me. That glare broke the last straw I had with her. I grabbed her wrist and began to drag her out of the garage. I don’t know where to, but anywhere but that small garage.
“Freddy what the hell are you doing?” With unexpected strength she ripped her hand away. I looked back and although I was seething with anger, this feisty and angry Persephone was strangely turning me on. I walked up to her, wanting to kiss her, but she backed up. Not out of fear, that much I knew. The anger in her eyes told me. “What's gotten into you?”
“What's gotten into me? You're the one who ignored me all day and yesterday! What am I to you even? I'm your f*****g boyfriend and I deserve to be treated as such!”
“Freddie,” The tone in her voice was again unexpected. I expected her to yell, or to at least sound as angry as she looked. However, her voice grew solemn. Something unknown in me shivered. I had never felt this kind of feeling before. It almost felt like... fear.
“I love you, but I don't want to do this anymore. I want to break up.” She spoke the words I never thought she’d speak. I don’t know what came over me next, but it was definitely I’d end up actually regretting.
