Dale's P.O.V I still don't understand who decided it was humane to keep teenagers trapped in a room for one whole hour and force them to 'learn'. I also don't know why I have to sit for this stupid class when I know I have no use for what this woman is teaching. Like learning about triangles is gonna help me run a pack. Its really hard to not fall asleep when Mrs Monterrey is around. She always finds a way to make you wanna take a nap in her class. Of course I'd be dead if she ever knew that was how I felt. I put my head down hoping she would ignore me and continue her boring lecture. I hoped. "Mr Carson!!" she exclaimed. My head snapped up in shock from the sudden loud voice. "Does my class bore you?" 'very much ma'am' my wolf says. "No ma'am" I replied knowing I couldn't disrespect her without getting detention. "Then pay attention" she stated shooting me a glare. Ah, I was going to get an earful after this. I sighed and tried my best to keep my head up. At that moment, a sudden scent flooded my senses. Strawberries. This was someone's scent and the person was getting close to this classroom. 'Mate. Mate. Mate" my wolf was happily chanting in my head. The scent got closer to the door until I could smell it directly outside. But it just stopped at the door. I heard a sigh come from outside before the door opened. She had long strawberry blonde hair with bright emerald orbs. A quite petite figure but incredibly sexy. She wore a maroon long sleeved shirt that said DOPE with black skinny jeans and maroon lace up boots. She had a black scarf tied around her neck with a black beanie. "You must be Alexandra" Mrs Monterrey said with a surprisingly enthusiastic voice. The girl nodded. "Would you like to introduce yourself to the class" Mrs Monterrey asked "I'd rather not" she stated plainly. Mrs Monterrey nodded. "You can take a sit beside Dale" she said "Dale raise your hand" My hand went up and the girl, Alexandra took a seat between me and my best friend Tyler. With her being so close, her scent filled my nose. Nothing had ever smelt this good to me before. She placed her bag beside her desk and got a notebook and pen out of it. From her scent, she was human. A Small groan left me at the thought of trying to tell her I'm a werewolf. That was definitely not going to end well. My eyes stayed on her as she jotted things the teacher said seriously. When the bell rung, I nearly jumped out of my seat. A chance to talk to my mate. "Mr Carson" Mrs Monterrey called just when I was about to step out of the class. "Ma'am?" I replied. "Your attitude in my class is unacceptable. One more act like that and you get detention" she stated. "We both know you wouldn't want your dad to know about that" she added with an evil smirk. "But Aunt Hayden...." I whined "Mrs Monterrey to you." she stated pointing her pointer at me. I rolled my eyes "Don't you roll your eyes at me" "Bye aunt hayden" I said walking out. "Mrs Monterrey!!" she yelled as I walked out. Crazy woman. Out of the class now, my eyes searched for the red haired girl and a sense of irritation flooded me when my eyes finally landed on her. My best friend Tyler was right beside her trying to make a conversation. A small smile made it's way to my lips when I noticed she barely paid him any attention. 'Dude can you leave' I told Tyler through mind link as I walked towards him. 'why?' he asked 'just leave' I stated irritated 'why' he asked again 'dude just f*****g leave or i'll beat your ass' I said. I would beat his ass. I wouldn't even waste time doing it. 'I deserve an explanation after this' he said. "I have a.....uh...practice. Bye" he told Alexandra and left. He left and I took his place. She looked at me weirdly "Hi i'm Dale" I said calmly despite how nervous I actually felt. "Alexandra." she said in a bored tone "Sorry, I gotta go. See you later." and she walked away. She left She left She left She didn't even give me a glance She left She left She left. 'you have some serious issues' my wolf tells me. 'did you not just see that' I asked him 'we are gonna change her mind. She has to like us' my wolf said. 'I agree' I said. Then walked to the field for practice. Our school doesn't play football or basketball or lacrosse. We play soccer. I headed straight for the locker room and changed into my jersey and shorts. The moment I stepped out to the field, I could already sense my fans staring. All the girls around except two. The second one didn't matter much, only my mate did. She was too absorbed in some book she was reading to even glance my way. It kinda hurt to be honest. A book was more important than me. She ignored me. For a freaking book. 'you are such a drama queen' my wolf said. 'do you not see what is happening. Mate didn't even notice us' I whined. 'then we'll make mate notice us. No girl can stand our charm' my wolf boasted. Practice went on and in the middle, I took my shirt off to flex a bit. Girls loved these muscles. I could feel the heated gazes from all the females. All except two. For crying out loud. The only time mate looked at me she didn't even show care or even emotion. A few moments later I noticed the only other girl that didn't fawn over me approach my mate. They seemed so absorbed in their conversation that it irritated me that I couldn't hear them. Alexandra even closed her book to talk to Isabella, though she still had the same stoic expression. "Dude what's up?" Tyler said with a slap to my back. It was then I noticed that the coach had called all the guys. "What?" I asked. "You're seem a bit showy today. That's not like you." He said with an assessing glance in my direction. Was it that obvious that I was trying to get someone's attention? "I'm fine. I'll tell you later." Eventually I'd have to tell him I met my mate. He gave me a worried look before he nodded. We jogged over to the coach. He addressed all the players but my mind was elsewhere. My mind was focused on the red haired female who was my mate. I needed to figure out a way for her to notice me. After some time my mate walked off with Bella. At least its someone I know and actually like. Practice went on. Alexandra's POV I'd be lying if I said I was excited to go to school today. When mom broke the news to me that i would be attending the high school nearby, i didn't know how to feel. I've never been a people person. I never had people my age surround me. The ones I knew who were close in age were not the nicest of folks. There was also the scars on my body. I didn't want to have people staring or pointing at me because of them. Everything sucks. Despite my attempts to delay my mom, she still made it her duty to drop me off at school. By the time I arrived, second period had already begun. I made my way to the school office and got my schedule. The nice lady that gave me the schedule, guided me to class. A faint pine scent stood out out of all the scents I picked up. The closer I got to the classroom, the stronger it became. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on. My mate was in this class. 'Mate!' My my wolf chimed in my head. The woman said her goodbyes and left me standing at the door of the classroom. I took a deep breath before I pushed the door open. As if my eyes were drawn to him, the first thing I noticed or person I noticed was a dark haired boy with bright blue orbs. I took in his scent again and mentally cursed. A werewolf. Just my luck. This was going to spell trouble, I could feel it. The teacher stopped talking and turned to me. "You must be Alexandra." the woman said with a polite smile. I nodded. "Would you like to introduce yourself to the class?" the woman asked. "I'll rather not" I stated plainly She nodded, shocking me. "You can take a sit beside Dale" she stated "Dale raise your hand" The brown haired boy lifted his hand up and I internally groaned. It just had to be beside him. I took the free seat beside him and took a deep breath. I hated how everyone's eyes followed me as I moved to take my seat. It was fine. Everything would be fine. When I felt my mates eyes on me, I knew nothing would be fine. I'm in some deep s**t. My mate was a wolf, the teacher was a wolf, a guy seating beside me was a werewolf. This class was flooded with them. I placed my backpack at the leg of my desk and got out my notebook and pretended to write things down. It was hard to concentrate when the guy beside me was so obviously staring. I rushed out of the class the moment the bell rung. Distance. Need to put some distance between me and this Dale. There would be no bond keeping me tied to him. The teacher stopped him on our way out so I thought I was free but the other werewolf walked over to me. "Hi i'm Tyler" he said with a friendly smile. "And I'm guessing you already know mine." I answered trying to cut the conversation short. He chuckled. I failed to see the joke in what I said. A few moments later I felt the presence of my mate. Damn it! Tyler stopped talking and his eyes glazed over. He was mind linking. . He excused himself very awkwardly and soon he was replaced with my mate. "Hi i'm Dale." My mate said with a smooth deep voice. He exuded nothing but confidence. A typical Alpha. It was almost overwhelming. "I'm Alexandra" I replied. Now that he was close, his scent slapped me hard. Pine. I hated to admit, but I liked it. "Sorry, I have things to do right now. See you later." With that I excused myself and walked away. It would be best for me to avoid him as much as possible. In an attempt to escape the wolf, I entered what I assumed was the school field. It was designed to look like a stadium, with elevated seats that let you see what was happening on the field. Deciding I had nothing better to do, I took a seat in the most secluded area far back and pulled a novel out of my bag. . To my luck, my mate walked out to the field dressed in sports gear. I would only end up spouting nonsense if I tried to explain the appeal in seeing him like this. All I can say is, he looked good. Really good. My wolf purred. I diverted my eyes away from his body and back to my book. Focus on not looking at the sexy guy down there. Avoid the temptation. Impossible! I ended up staring at him a couple times when he wasn't looking. He almost caught me once but I made it look like I wasn't just drooling over him. He took his shirt off. For crying out loud. No one can blame me. You would too if you saw the body on that man. A girl with blonde hair and brown eyes stood in front of me, blocking my view of Dale. "Hi" she said with a bright smile and then sat beside me. "Hi" I copied "I'm Isabella" she said. "I'm Alexandra" I stated. "Nice to meet you" she said with a polite smile "do you always stare or is that a new thing?" she asked, her smile turning into a smirk "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "You've been secretly checking Dale out." she stated with a wide grin. I looked at her dumbfounded trying to stop the blush that was creeping to my neck. "Its okay, a lot of girls do it" she said giggling. I wanted to so yell at her to f*****g leave me alone but she was kinda nice and cute. "Wonderful!" I stated "I have to get to class." I stated trying to ditch her. "Period isn't up yet." "I'll probably get lost on my way to class so I need a head start." I said. "You should probably reduce that." she said pointing to my heavy bag. She was right about that. "Ok!" she said pulling me back into the school building. "What's your locker number?" "317" I said then she pulled me. That was when her scent hit me like a rock. Another werewolf. For Christ sake!! 4 in total. That teacher from my first period, Tyler, Isabella and....Dale. Isabella pulled me to the locker. I put in my combination and put some books in the locker. She moved to the locker directly opposite of mine and picked out some things. "What class do you have next?" she asked. The bell rung just then. "Chemistry." I said and she grinned "We have the same class!" she said and pulled me to a classroom or lab or whatever. The the stools were arranged so three people could seat at a table. Isabella and I sat at a table as the class gradually filled up. A girl with brown hair and big brown orbs sat beside me. A brick was thrown at my face. Another werewolf. "Hey Bella." she said turning to isabella. "Hey!" Isabella replied with the normal enthusiastic tone in her voice. "Your friend?" the girl asked Isabella. "Yes. Anna Lexi, Lexi Anna" she said introducing us. Wait a second, who's Lexi "My name is Alexandra" I stated glaring at isabella. A.l.e.x.a.n.d.r.a. Its not so hard. "That's too long." she said. I rolled my eyes at her then turned to face the teacher that stood in front of the class. The class couldn't have gone by any slower. I was so relieved when the bell finally rung. I rushed out trying to ditch isabella. That wouldn't happen on her watch. She was by my side through out. Anna, isabella and I went to get our lunches. After that "Bye." I said, another attempt at escape. "Where do you think you're going?" Isabella asked. I was about to state the obvious "You're sitting with us." A sigh left me. She wasn't going to let me go. She dragged me to their lunch table. "Who do you usually sit with?" I asked "Just my brother and two best friends." isabella said. "Oh." I said poking at my food. Then the worst thing happened.
