I finally let out the breath I was holding the moment I got into the house. I checked the window and Dale's car was still parked out there. His head was resting on the steering wheel and it was obvious he was in pain. After long moments, he finally raised his head, started the car and drove off. When he was gone, I went up to my room, falling face first on my bed. The embarrassment from earlier was just setting in. I made a fool of myself in front of Dale's whole pack. I can't swim. Whenever I got close to a pool my body would freeze up. No matter what I tried, I couldn't just get the things Alpha Gonzalez did out of my head. He made my life a living hell. My body flipped over so that I was now facing the ceiling. Exhaustion took me and I soon slipped into unconsciousness. *****
