Chapter 3

Nevaeh's P.O.V.

"Mom, Dad, Jake, I'm home." I scream as I first walk in the house. We don't live in the pack house after all the crap I've pulled. What can I say. I'm a free spirit.

"In here hunny." my mom yells from the kitchen. "Why are you home so soon hun. Did you get in trouble again."

"Not yet. I skipped the rest of the day with..." I stopped myself from speaking his name just yet.

"With who hun?" my just looks at me with an eyebrow raised.

I shift in my seat uncomfortably, "Where's dad? I don't want to have to say this twice."

"Right here, baby. What's wrong?" he asks like I'm about to announce someone's death.

"Everything is fine it's just that I've found my mate." I say slowly looking at the ground.

"What!!!!" my mom shrieked. Great my ears are going to be ringing all night now.

"Who? From our pack, the neighbor packs? Is he a wolf, cat, or panda?" my dad asks. I waited until he finished listing all the shifters but he never once said the one I was looking for.

"Before I say who he is you have to promise you won't judge or anything." I looked at them with pleading eyes.

"Why is he a vampire or human?" Still he didn't mention the werejaguars. "We will keep an open mind about your mate hunny just tell us who he is and when we will get to meet him." my mother states.

"OK well his name is Nate. And you'll meet him shortly. But I will tell you what species he is after you've met him and after I've shifted. I'm going to go get dressed now." I jump down from the chair I was sitting on and run to my room before they can ask me anymore questions.

A few hours have passed and I'm just sitting in my room thinking how stupid I am because I don't have his number or any way to get in touch with him. "How stupid can I be?" I groan into the quiet space.

"I don't think you're stupid. I think you're beautiful." I jump off my bed in shock because standing in front of me is Nate.

"I guess the saying is ture. Think about someone enough and they'll appear. How did you get in here? Not that I mind." I start to ramble.

"Your window. Didn't know if you wanted your parents to meet me yet or if you had some kind of plan for that. Cause you know your pack doesn't really care for my kind." he says while giving me a shy grin and scratching the back of his head.

"That's actually very smart. Well I did tell them that I found my mate, but I didn't tell them what kind of shifter you are yet." I started to mumble. "I told them they would have to wait until my party and I shift cause I want you to mark me as soon as it happens because I will not let them control me just because you're a Jaguar shifter." I start to raise my voice because it pisses me off that everyone has a problem them and won't tell me why.

"Baby, I need you to calm down. I'll follow your lead. OK no one will take you from me. I've waited far to long for you to be taken from me. But there is one problem about marking you. I can't do that just yet." He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear lovingly with pure love in his eyes.

Wait did he just say..."Wait what do you mean you won't mark me just yet? Don't you want me?"

"Yes baby I want you more than anything in this world but you're just 16 I can't mark you yet because I'm a Jaguar and it could kill you since I'm already 18."

"What does that matter?"

"My venom is more lethal since I'm already an adult. It could kill you baby. I don't want to hurt you." I couldn't help myself the way he's explaining everything instead of just telling me no or just ignoring my questions he's actually explaining thing. He's got my heart racing so I reach up and kiss him. Our first kiss well my first kiss completely.

Why isn't he kissing me back.

Nate's P.O.V

Oh s**t she's kissing me. I'm completely stunned. I wasn't expecting this and was completely caught off guard. When I feel her go to pull away I realized I wasn't kissing her back. So I go for it grabbing her waist and picking her up and her legs instantly around my waist. I push her up against the wall but I keep one hand behind her head as to not hurt her. She sighs into my mouth and I take the opportunity to deepen the kiss by shoving my tongue into her mouth.

"Nate" she moans. Crap we've gotta stop or my jaguar is gonna mark her.

I pull away and hear her groan in response. "Baby as much as I'd love to f**k you right now we have to stop its getting dangerous plus you have to tell me your plan." I remind her.

"Alright well let me get dressed first. But you've got to put me down so I can move. Plus your c**k is on my stomach and it's getting harder to control myself." she tells me with a slight blush on her face.
