The Rogues Mate

Alpha Greg

John held the door open for us and we walked in.

Nates' office was huge. He had a wall of windows that showed the pack's training ground and what looked like a small village just for the pack. I would have to get him to show me around the pack some more. On one side of the room was his desk. Behind his desk was a wall full of book shelves that was filled with books. He had two chairs in front of his desk. On the other side of the room was a wall with photos of the other alphas and lunas that came before Nate. At the end was a photo of Nate standing alone, on what I am assuming was the day he took over the pack. He looked young. I looked at Nate and could tell he had aged since he had taken over the pack, maybe stress from having a pack or he just took it over really young.

There was a tall man standing looking out the wall of windows. He had his hands in his pockets and looked very professional. He turned around to greet us, his smile was gone when his eyes met mine. He was an older gentleman, probably in his late forties and early fifties.

"Alpha Nate, I didn't realize you were this friendly with the rogues." He spat out extra venom on the rogue.

"Alpha Greg, this is my mate, Emily. We found each other yesterday", Nate spat back to him. I could tell Nate was getting angry. I felt his body tense. I rubbed my hand on his arm and felt him relax under my touch.

"Hm. Well, this is a pack matter and I, for one, am not comfortable discussing pack business with the enemy. Your mate should wait outside." he painted on a fake smile

"My mate will do no such thing." Nate was angry now. I could see his wolf trying to take control. "Emily will be the Luna of this pack, she will be at every meeting I attend, by my side. And anyone who doesn't like it can deal with me and Luke." Nate was shaking now. He was sitting in his chair behind his desk now. I walked to him and sat in his lap. I knew his wolf needed me to calm down before he started a war. I felt Nate relax.

Who was Luke? I haven't heard of him yet. Now I'm curious.

" Well, if she really wants to hear the future of her kind" Alpha Greg was making sure to strike every word directly towards me with intent. "Then so be it", he went on. Nate was uncomfortable in his chair. I could feel his tension under me. Maybe I was making him uncomfortable with my PDA? I should probably get up. He is an alpha, not a young school boy. I should have more respect and be more professional, especially in these meetings. I went to get up but I felt Nate tightened his grip around my waist. I looked at him. His expression was hard and cold but he simply shook his head no. Not moving his eyes from alpha Greg. He pulled me back, closer to his chest. Closer so he could inhale my scent. I would hear and feel him take a deep breath in my hair and feel his body relax.

"My pack at Blood Moon has been having more rogue attacks lately. Now I know you want us to capture and get information for these attacks, an only kill when we have to. But I have been talking with others and more than a few of us agree we should be killing onsight. Send a message, so to speak." He stopped waiting for Nate to reply. I could tell he was deep in thought.

"What do you mean when you say on sight?" I asked, and instantly regretted butting in. I was supposed to listen and learn, not speak. I looked at Nate and mouthed" Im Sorry. He smiled at me a gave me s soft an swift kiss on the forehead.

"I don't answer you." Greg shot back with hate in every word, breaking me from my mate.

"But you do answer me," Nate said. Setting me down on my feet so he could stand up. He walked over to Alpha Greg who bowed his head in respect. Nate was letting his aura out full force. "Now my mate asked a question and I too would like to know what you mean by on sight." Nate roared. Nate stood so tall and broad that I couldn't even see Alpha Greg in front of him now. As crazy as this sounds, Nate looked absolutely sexy with his arura an power out. I now see just how powerful he was. I was beginning to think some thoughts that I shouldn't have been thinking. Like having Nate on top of me, me naked for only his eyes to see. My wolf was not helping. Iris (my wolf) was sending me these images of different positions I wanted Nate to put me in.

Oh god. I squeezed my legs together as I felt wetness begin to pool between my legs. Not the place Iris. Not the time.

Sorry he is just so sexy right now, she says, unashamed.

I know Nate smelled my arousal because he looked over his shoulder at me and sent me a wink that just about did me in. Greg answered, Nate pulled us back to reality.

"What I mean is, when they are spotted, we take them out before they have the chance to even form a plan for an attack." Greg said proudly. I felt like my knees were weak as I thought of my parents. They were kind people. They never stole, never hurt anyone, and they would just kill them just because. I fell back into Nate's chair, causing Nate to rush to my side.

"Are you okay love?" He asked caringly.

I couldn't manage to speak. I could only shake my head. I had to help them. My parents. They were innocent people. I had to talk to Nate alone an explain that not all rogues were bad people, but the bad ones for sure gave us all that name. Nate gave me a kiss on my forehead. "Do you need to lie down?" he asked?

"No, I wanna stay." I said sternly. Nate just nodded an went back to Alpha Greg.

"Alpha Greg. I think that is entirely reckless and will result in a war. The rogues are already attacking, non-provoked. What do you think will happen if we just start killing them off when we spot them?"

"It wouldn't matter, they would be dead before they could come up with one" he smiled prodly. My heart felt like it would beat out of my chest. Iris was growling in my head. Apparently it was loud enough. Nate and Alpha Greg heard it as well as they both looked at me.

"Nate, I would get your mate on a leash before she gets hurt" Alpha Greg threatened. Iris surfaced. "We will not kill rogues on sight. Some of them are just people who are trying to survive and are innocent." She growled, showing her canines threateningly. Iris, this is not our place. Give me back control. The look of shock on Alpha Greg's face was enough to please Iris. Nate had a smile plastered on his face proudly and his arms folded across his chest.

"Well, Alpha Greg, there you have it. The answer is no. My Luna makes a very good point, and I agree with her. It would be a reckless action and you would be killing innocent people." Nate, still smiling as he came to stand by my side.

"Em reel in your arura, calm down baby" Nate whispers in my ear. My arura? I didn't know I even had one. Im a rogue. Was it because I was mated to an alpha the Luna arura was already forming? It had to be. Nate was rubbing circles on the small of my back, relaxing myself and Iris too. Alpha Greg had his head bowed in submission. Once I relaxed and completely leaned against Nate, Alpha Greg stood straight.

"This isn't over, Nate. I'll go to the elders if I have to, with sign petitions from other packs."

"Do what you must, My Luna, and I have given you the answer to your question. We will not give rogues a reason to retaliate and attack. I'm sure the elders will see it that way as well, but if you want to go through the trouble, then by all means, try it." Nate was smiling. He was truly happy over this.

"You can see yourself out Alpha Greg? Correct?" Alpha Greg huffed and stomped out like a toddler and left me and Nate to ourselves.

Nate turned to me with a smile of amusement on his face. "Well, I don't know where that came from, but Damn, that was sexy. I know you have been a rogue since birth, but what has gotten you so upset that you throw an arura out that I didn't even know you had?" He asked.

"I don't know how I did that. I didn't even know I had one either. Alpha Greg just made me so mad, talking about killing rogues when they see them. Its absurd. Some of them haven't done anything wrong an are just trying to survive. Nate, my parents." I panicked and Nate could see it on my face.

" Hey, listen baby, it's okay. We can find them and bring them here if you want. I promise you, I'll protect you and everything you care about. I know that not all rogues are dangerous. That's why I have rules in place, to protect the ones who aren't. I have a feeling Alpha Greg is about to cause some trouble though. Lets find your parents Let's bring them here if they want to come, and join the pack. You'll also need to join the pack too." I love how Nate made me feel. I felt safe an I knew he would keep his promise. I hugged myself closer to Nate. I never wanted to be away from him. I have always heard stories about the Mate bond and what it did to some people. I saw it with my parents. I saw how much they loved each other. I wanted that so badly and I knew with everything in me that I had that with Nate. It felt like we had been together for years now, although it had only been a few days.

"Thank you, Nate." The only words I could get out

"Anything for you, my love." He said sweetly as he planted a kiss on the top of my head, inhaling my scent.

"I have an idea. It's about lunch time. I'll take the rest of the day off because, in all honesty, I haven't been to bed yet I am exhausted. So why don't we go into the village, eat at the diner in town and I can show you around some on our way to get there, we can come home an hopefully, I can get you out of that sexy suit, an then we can stay in the room and relax for the rest of the night?" He asked. I. Am. A. Complete. i***t. I cant believe I had forgotten all about him being up all night dealing with Abigail. Oh my goddess, how could I be so stupid? Poor Nate looked exhausted.

"Nate im so sorry. That all sounds so amazing and I really am looking forward to seeing the town an getting to know the pack. But baby you look terrible." I laughed. " I have a better idea." I smiled up at him teasingly. "Why don't you call and have us food delivered, an you just take me back to the room and undress me an f*** me until our lunch comes and then we relax." I smiled up to him sexily already walking towards the door, making sure to shake my hips a little more aggressive then normal. I looked back to see Nate, a shocked look on his face when suddenly I saw his eyes go completely black. I heard a growl come from him and saw a wicked grin form on his face.
