MY SYSTEM AND MY BEAST

YOU NEED A MAP!!

[HEAD TO THE STARLIGHT DUNGEON AND CLEAR IT] was the new mission introduced by the system so-called Mister No One.

Kalrain didn’t have any knowledge of the recent state of such a thing known as a system as well as what deals or threats it receives to the owner. Hence, this was an odd-looking screen that appeared with the mission and a small piece of advice which the boy had to obey without any objection.   

When the second mission was accepted by the owner only the bracket appeared saying:

 [God luck, your Highness]

This made Kalrain feel kind of awkward about this.

When you are given an instruction to head in a site on top of it, you are a newcomer of the place, it will be a foolish act if you simply started on your feet, packing up your suitcase, and set foot out of your home for an unknown destination.

It will be as an example of a new teacher who gets lost inside his or her own school building due to the doors all the same as copy and pastes on the corridor of the floor. He or she has to roam around like a crazy person just in search of a single staff room for a rest.

But, of course, not all run with the same problem while attending a new place, one item is for sure to be carried out along with him if he gets the idea to be cautious before getting lost.

When Kalrain turned away his sight from the system, all the fairy's sight was fixed on the odd creature which caught his notice and made him kind of think for his action ere speaking out.

Even if he whispered or spoke to the one called Mister No One, it would create a bad impression of him. It would make others think that he might be getting ill by his given state and on top of it, some may think he is whispering bad about them, for such a small problem it could be converted into a large issue.

Kalrain inhaled a long breath, thought fast, and sighed out a deep one. He asked, “Can there be something that can be carried out with my journey without getting lost anywhere?”

This made all think as they began to whisper among each other wondering whether he really needed something important. What could that be?

On the other hand, Kalrain wasn’t only asking the fairy’s but, at the same time, he was signaling at the system. He thought straight and chose the right sentence for both the fairies and Mister No One.

One among the little creature exclaimed in excitement and at the same time the system brought up the tag, both speaking and written the same words,

“YOU NEED A MAP!!”

“A map huh?” thought Kalrain upon receiving his answer “but, then what is a map and where can I get one?” he asked not to mention he was an illegal person without much education.

The Doctor fairy flew up on his knees and explained as an answer to his question “a map is a piece of paper which marks and draw a structure of an entire land, river, and mountains. It represents a world or a city with all the given instructions of each and every state of the land”.

“Okay…. That seems interesting” answered Kalrain as he carried the kitten off his lap and placed him on the ground “so, where can I get one? I need to travel off from here”.

This grew the interest of the Doctor with a smile “but, tell me, where are you heading to all of a sudden?”

“Well…” smiled Kalrain helplessly and replied without any choice “I am heading to the Starlight dungeon, have you seen this name anywhere?”

The Doctor grew dumped and questioned instead of answering the boy “wait, weren’t you searching for the Legendry beast named Elmore?”

The boy laughed at this contest answering “well. I was but, I changed my mind so, I will be heading to the site”.

“That’s queer from you Kalrain” surprised the Doctor fairy as Kalrain only giggled. He send his gaze down at the kitten who was staring with its big green eyes at his master as he warned himself inwards that he can’t tell anyone or anybody that this kitten is that Elmore and that he has become his master as this signing of both master and beast also involves in locking their deepest secret among each other forever.

“I see so you have changed your mind on that” suggested the Doctor in relief; because if Kalrain would still recall on that question: he is searching for Elmore more objection would rise against him, hence it was a relief that he changed his mind.

The Doctor turned to the Captain questioning “so captain any clue about his request?”

“Well, not quite helpful from our side cause we do have a map but, it’s only regarding the forest” he turned to the young boy explaining the fact that since they were the forest fairies their territory only lasted inside this forest.

Adding a short explanation, this forest where they lived is known as the Guardiya’s largest forest so it’s not that simple to be here. It’s home to many different species, animals plus, myth creatures along with some small human villagers who are more acknowledged to this state than the fairies.

There appear cases inside the forest like some caravans visit this place or some merchants traveling here cause this forest is also known as the house of herbs and wild fruits which provides them benefit in their trading.

Include some villagers too who enter this forest in search of food and water for their daily life. It’s an era of a complete nation.

“However, like the saying goes where there is good side there is always a bad side too, the same goes here inside our forest,” said the Captain growing serious “you see there are hunting done here also, humans are mainly the reason for us to be in danger. They hunt us a lot because it is part of their survival. They hurt rabbits, deer, birds for their food and fur at the same time the other creatures like trolls and dwarfs but, on the top of their list are us fairies.

We are captured in any form either a citizen or a soldier, both are under redlines. Due to which we can’t transfer our barrier or go to the middle layer of the forest. We may be stuck but, we are safe and sound together”.

This shocked Kalrain and he remarked, “which is why you arrested me under that golden ring not to mention, why it was so heavy for my arms” he looked at both hands with his bandaged finger opening and closing.

This fell the entire fairy’s in embracement as much as every fairy shut their lips tight.

Why?

Cause they blamed themselves for creating such a horrible state for both of his arms. If they could have been less harsh to him perhaps, at least his one arm would have been safe from that tragic condition. Second, if he was free, none of this would have happened to him in the first place.

On this everyone felt horrible and didn’t speak more. Kalrain gazed at all and smiled saying “never mind, don’t blame yourselves for it, it’s not anyone’s fault. After all, everyone was performing their duties” smiled the boy but, no one was satisfied. They blamed themselves for the suffering he went through.

Kalrain looked around finding a way to get the attention of the decent creature’s heads out of their terrible mistake. That’s when suddenly, his golden eyes caught sharp notice on the glass barrier and in puzzlement but, still keeping his smile, avoiding all doubts from his side, he asked the Captain

 “Sir, I have a question, it could have been possible that you all created the barrier to avoid all the intruders but, then how in the world was I able to enter the barrier without any harm since it was meant to block out humans?”

“Ah….” the Captain lost his words and couldn’t answer.

He himself didn’t understand when Kalrain looked up at the sky warning “and I see one more thing weird happening with the Kingdom’s barrier”.

All grew dumb by hearing his words, never before has anyone found any faults in the barrier. No one spoke or asked what could be the problem. They all wanted to learn.

Pointing up with his bandaged index finger, Kalrain pointed out “your kingdom barrier is getting cracked from time to time……”
