"More wine, sir?" the waiter asked Jake. "Yes, thank you," he replied as he took the glass. Why did he present himself at parties like this? Jake wondered to himself. "Mr. Sen!" a voice called out. It was Jake's friend Chad, waving him over. "How have you been, man?" Chad said, pulling him in for a bro hug. "I've been good," Jake replied, hugging him back. "Bro, I just want to share some news," Chad said as he walked toward the food table with Jake. Jake raised an eyebrow. "Do you know Wyatt Parker?" "Oh, that nerd?" Chad said dismissively. "What about him?" "Apparently, he has a crush on you," Chad continued, then smiled and nodded. "We can use this to our advantage." "What are you talking about?" Jake asked, confused. "Let's make a bet: Make him fall in love with you, then break his heart into a million pieces on YouTube." "Are you crazy? I wouldn't do that! I have a girlfriend!" Chad chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "It's going to be fun." "But..." Jake hesitated, then added, "I can attract both guys and girls, but I want something in return. If I win, what do I get?" Chad raised his eyebrows. "Okay, what do you want?" "If I win, you'll be my personal assistant. Do whatever and whenever I ask—no attitude, no time off. And when I'm with my girlfriend, you'll walk around making sure she gets what she wants," Jake said with a smirk. "Deal," Chad replied, smiling and nodding as he turned to leave. "You can buy me the new gaming system, and I'll post an embarrassing video of you." Jake's eyes narrowed, but he couldn't back down. "It's a deal," he said. Jake felt a flutter of nerves but knew that chaos was bound to happen. Chad grabbed two wine glasses and handed one to Jake. "Let's make a toast—to fewer live games being lost!" They both laughed, clinking their glasses with mischievous smiles, but Jake quickly added, "There's going to be a problem." "And what now?" Chad asked, raising an eyebrow. "Sarah," Jake replied, glancing toward her. "She's addicted, you know. She lives for this stuff." Chad rolled his eyes, smirking. "She just needs excitement. This will be fun; she's going to love it." But Jake shook his head. "Something tells me she's not going to spare you if you lose." The next day, Jake went to visit his girlfriend to let her in on the plan. "Hey, babe," he said as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close and whispering, "I missed you." Sarah raised an eyebrow at him. "Why are you acting like this? What do you want?" "Chad's got an idea—and it's a crazy one," Jake explained, looking serious. Sarah shot him a stern look. "And last time, you got arrested." Jake laughed nervously. "I'm game for chaos, babe! Besides, I'm rich, so nothing can touch me." Sarah sighed, giving in. "Fine." Jake smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Thanks, babe. You're the best," he said with a grin. "But seriously," he added, his voice lowering, "what is this crazy idea?" Jake took a deep breath. "I'm going to make a deal with you all." He could see Sarah's eyes widen as her mouth dropped open. "No, that's not happening," she said, crossing her arms. "You know just how much trouble you get into!" "I know, but it'll be different this time," he reassured her. "Nothing's going to happen. I won't even share what I saw if something does." "Relax, babe," Jake said, giving her a reassuring smile. "Nothing is going to happen, and it's only for a few days... or weeks... or months. Not forever." Sarah sighed again. "Fine, but if you do this, I will break up with you," she said sternly, her tone serious. "Nothing is going to happen," Jake replied confidently. "And if I win, you get a slave for three years to do whatever you want." "A slave?" Sarah's eyes lit up. "What are you talking about?" "Chad said if I win, he'll be our slave for three years," Jake explained, laughing. "Think about it—you could make him do errands, clean... whatever." Sarah smiled, clearly enjoying the idea. "Okay, fine," she finally agreed, a smirk spreading across her face. "I can make him my little helper." They shared a laugh, and later that night, things got a little heated between them. "You know, babe, they say that good fun makes everything better," he whispered. Jake went home that night, thinking about how he'd make this work. When he arrived, he called out, "Mom? Dad?" But only the housekeeper answered, "Master Sen, they're not here." Jake rolled his eyes, muttering, "Typical." With a disappointed sigh, he made his way upstairs, contemplating what he'd gotten himself into. **Wyatt's Place** As Wyatt was studying, a voice called to him, "Wyatt!" It was his mother. "Dinner is ready," she said. He quickly got up, leaving his books, and went to the dining room. He sat down at the table, reaching for his plate. "So, Wyatt, how is college going?" his mother asked, sitting down beside him. "Is it going okay?" she continued, watching as he took a bite. "And how's your crush, Jake?" Wyatt nearly choked on his food. "Mum, I don't want to talk about that," he mumbled, his cheeks turning red. His mother chuckled softly and patted his head gently. "I know you love him, sweetheart," she teased, flashing a warm smile. Wyatt rolled his eyes but laughed along. He loved how easy it was to talk to her about anything. She was like his best friend, always there with advice and knowing just what to say to make him feel safe. "Mum, please let us just eat, okay?" Wyatt said, unable to hide his smile. She put a hand on his shoulder as they finished dinner. "He will be lucky to have you, and you are enough. If not, there is someone out there who will take great care of you, treat you like the prince you are, and make you feel special." Wyatt nodded, and the two of them started clearing the table. Afterward, Wyatt returned to his room to study. Knowing that his mother was always there to support him through whatever he was going through made him feel lighter. The next day on campus, Wyatt walked with his backpack in front of him, rummaging through it for something. Suddenly, he heard a voice call out, "Yo, Wyatt!" It was Hunter, Wyatt's best friend, who was jogging to catch up with him. Hunter and Wyatt had been inseparable since they were kids. Wyatt had always looked out for Hunter, protecting him through thick and thin. Their friendship had grown stronger over the years, built on trust and shared experiences. As they walked together, they reminisced about their childhood adventures, laughing at the memories that had shaped them into who they were today. Hey, man! You ready for that coffee?" Hunter asked, falling into step beside him. "Yeah, I need it," Wyatt replied, still distracted by his bag. "But I've got something on my mind. You think I should talk to Jake about what happened?" Hunter raised an eyebrow. "You mean about the bet? I thought you were over that. He's got a girlfriend now, right?" "I know, but I can't shake the feeling that there's something between us. We used to be close before he started dating Sarah," Wyatt said, frustration creeping into his voice. "But now it's like he doesn't even notice me." "Look, Wyatt," Hunter said, trying to be supportive, "just because he's with Sarah doesn't mean he doesn't care about your friendship. You should reach out. If he's your friend, he'll understand where you're coming from." "Yeah, maybe you're right. I just don't want to make things weird," Wyatt admitted as they approached the coffee shop. "Nothing wrong with being honest. It's what friends do, right?" Hunter replied, giving Wyatt an encouraging nudge. "Besides, who knows? Maybe Jake's just waiting for you to make the first move." They grabbed their coffees and headed to class, continuing their conversation about friendships. "You know, I'm glad we've always been there for each other," Wyatt said, sipping his coffee. "I can't imagine going through high school without you." "Same here, man. We've been through a lot. Just remember, it's okay to lean on each other. That's what friends are for," Hunter said, clapping Wyatt on the back. As they entered the classroom, the teacher announced, "Today, I'm pairing everyone up for a project." Wyatt's heart sank when he heard, "Wyatt, you'll be working with Jake." "Great," Wyatt muttered under his breath, but Hunter shot him a reassuring smile. "Just take it as an opportunity," Hunter whispered as they settled into their seats. "Now, class, go to your partners and start planning. It's due three weeks from now. The teacher said this is half of your grade; fail this, and you will have to repeat the year." The classroom went silent. "I have to go for a meeting; use this time to plan," the teacher said before he left. After finishing their planning, Jake turned to Wyatt with a smile. "Hey, want to grab some coffee? I could use a break." Wyatt nodded, his eyes lighting up. "Sure, that sounds great!" as well giving a big smile Wyatt as always wanted to have coffee with jake but jake is straight he is single so Wyatt thought little did Wyatt dose not know what's going happen to him As they walked out, Jake hesitated for a moment, glancing back at Jason, who was lingering nearby. Jason had always shown a keen interest in Wyatt, and Jake sensed the tension. "I'll drive you home after coffee, Wyatt," he offered, hoping to spend more time together. Just then, Jason stepped forward, trying to intercept. "Hey, Wyatt, I was just about to head out. I can take you home if you want." Wyatt looked between the two, but Jake smiled reassuringly. "It's all good, Jason. We'll be quick." Wyatt shrugged, choosing to stick with Jake. When they arrived at Jake's house, it was a modest, single-story home with a faded blue exterior and white shutters. The front yard was small but inviting, with a patch of vibrant flowers blooming next to a well-kept lawn. "Thank you for the ride," Wyatt said with a smile as he opened the car door. "Is Jason your friend?" Jake asked, looking at Wyatt, but in reality, Jake did not care; all he cared about was winning this bet. "He's just a good friend," Wyatt said and got out of the car. "Bye," he said, waving at Jake with a smile as he went inside his house. Jake then smiled and waved back. As he was driving, Jake was smiling. He pulled over, realizing he was smiling for Wyatt. Jake quickly snapped out of what was happening. Jake's phone then beeped. The phone screen said, "We need details. Meet us at our cafe." The message was from Chad. Jake then started the car and drove off. Jake then entered the café and saw Chad eating and scrolling through his phone. Jake cleared his throat and noticed the cupcakes and coffee on the table. "Oh, you came!" Chad said. "I already ordered for you. Help yourself." As Jake took a bite of the cupcake, he smiled. He began recounting his time with Wyatt. "Well, I went to his house. It's small not so bad definitely t what I expected You Jason he is close with him it was almost. like they were dating Chad then laughed. "Are you seriously that guy? You're much better—handsome and richer than him. He has no chance; he's no threat," Chad said as he took a sip of his milkshake. "Get him to trust you. Then—when he's all in—you can break him. It'll be easy." "I have a plan to make him fall for you harder," Chad said with an evil smile. "What plan?" Jake said, confused as he had his coffee. "DATE!" Chad said. "Date?" Jake replied. "Yes, let me explain "Okay, here's the plan," Chad said, sliding a piece of paper across the table, his voice low. Jake glanced at it: "Step 1: Get him to trust you Step 2: Make him fall in love with you. Step 3: Break his heart." He reached for the paper, his fingers "Let's do this," Jake said
