The exit from La Heta's underground headquarters slowly drifted into oblivion. Dust from vehicle tires continued to swirl along the secret passages leading out of the city. The evacuation was carried out in stages. Not everyone left at once. But when government troops arrived at the complex, all they saw were blank walls and empty rooms.
A few hours later, a national emergency broadcast was issued.
