"Now I realize it." Edith turned to her husband. The woman narrowed her eyes, immediately finding Cedric's cunning trick that day. No wonder the man could easily get the shares. "So you revealed all of Evan's debts and everything he did outside. You left them with no choice. Because even if they used the company's dividends, they still couldn't pay off all of their debts."
Cedric grimaced, he leaned his head on his wife's shoulder as he looked at the matriarch with disdain. "Didn't they make that bet so that I would lose? So they were not afraid to sell all the shares. Who would have thought that I could fulfill that bet. Plus, their reputation would be at risk if they broke the bet. I just wanted to minimize the possibility of them breaking their promise."
