We all jumped back into the Mercedes, Cameron still helping me out, and drove towards the woods. A place I swear I would always stay away from. Nothing good for us has ever happened in the woods. Staying among humans have only been our great solace. But I couldn’t break there hearts. I had to be strong and pray nothing bad would happen. They where so happy in the back talking about school. Esmeralda filling them in on all the teachers and the stuff they did at school.
“You okay Av?” Cameron asked once he finally caught my attention. He had placed his hand on mine.
“Yes,” I lied even though I knew he was worried. I think he saw right through it but didn’t say anything as he removed his hand from mine to put it back on the wheel. I wish he hadn’t, it was comforting but I couldn’t ask for it back could I.
The rest of the ride was filled with the children talking to themselves. It was so cute to hear them talking about school. Something I never really got to attend. Most of my school was what I was taught by those that lived in the cell with me or I met along our journey. It sounded like a lot of fun.
The house was huge that we stopped outside of. I have never seen something so big. Well that was a lie. I think my parents house was bigger but hard to say, I was so small then. Marcus got out and opened the door for me helping me out as I looked around. Esmeralda came to my good hand and began to pull me in. She was really energetic to show me the house as she kept pulling me. Cameron came around and scooped her up causing her to giggle and let go of my hand.
“No Esmeralda we need to be gentle. We don’t want to scare them now do we.” Cameron spoke gently. “Why don’t you take Marcus and Patric out to play with the wolf pups. I bet there around back.”
“Can we mom?” Marcus asked more to make sure I was okay with him leaving me. I really wasn’t okay. We where rouges in pack territory.
“They will be under careful watch.” Cameron spoke gently causing me to nod. They look of protection in his eyes giving me some reassurance. Marcus watched me as Esmeralda pulled him along. I watched till they where out of sight. A hand grabbed mine causing me to shutter but I relaxed the moment I saw his hand in mine. “Please tell me what’s wrong.”
“I haven’t been treated the best by men since a young age.” I gently spoke worried he would do something. He instantly looked at our hand but gently squeezed instead of pulling away. I smiled gently feeling safer then I have ever felt.
“I promise no one will treat you like that here.” He gently spoke smiling with me. I liked his hand in mine, it felt calming. “Come I will introduce you to the Alpha. I promise he is really sweet to.”
“Okay.” I spoke worried. He squeezed my hand again as he led me inside and upstairs to a large oak door. He knocked before entering.
“Alpha.” He called.
“Come in.” A husky voice spoke. Cameron smiled as he gently grabbed my waist and led me in. Well so much for having the ability to run. He held me so tight I wouldn’t even be able to move a millimeter.
“Look whom I found.” Cameron said as we stopped I front of the desk. He moved his chair around and spotted me. His harsh glare instantly dropped to gentle loving one. His shoulder relaxed and a gentle smile shown on his face. He was the exact replica of Cameron other then his hair was slicked back neatly.
“You have come.” He gently spoke causing my heart to leap for him. Oh was it the sexiest thing I have ever heard. I didn’t shutter in his presence which made me smile.
“See told you he is the best and treats everyone equal.” Cameron smiled as he let me go. He sat down in one of the chairs. The Alpha pointed for me to as well. I did as they said.
“I see you wear the symbol of the Blood Moon Pack.” He spoke looking at my fingers.
“A pack that will forever be in my heart.” I spoke as a tear escaped my eye as I thought of my mother and father. Cameron reached over and gently cleared it with the back of his finger.
“I’m sorry.” The Alpha spoke upset he hurt me.
“Not your fault. I was remembering my mother.” I smiled happily. They both where not buying the smile that tried to hide my pain.
“You also wear the symbol of the Infinite Blue Moon Pack.” He said a little confused.
“A pack of pain but new beginnings.” I said trying to hold the pain of memories wanting to flood in. The Alpha instantly rose and came over to me. Before Cameron could stop him he wrapped his arms around me. I shuttered for a bit before I began to cry on his shoulder. His dark hot chocolate with marshmallow was a calming smell for me. I wrapped my arms around him but soon stopped when I realised what I was doing. “I'm so sorry.”
“Don’t worry honey. You needed that.” He gently spoke as he crouched in front of me and placed a hand on my cheek. The sparks that I felt when Cameron touched me where the same here.
“Mom.” Marcus called causing our touch to break. Marcus raced into my arms the moment the Alpha got up and walked away. “It’s okay mom.”
“Your son?” The Alpha spoke gently. I nodded as I gently pushed Marcus away. He came and stood behind me so Patric, whom I didn’t see jumped up into my lap.
“I’m sorry Alpha. The Gamma son was bullying them again.” Esmeralda spoke gently as she walked over to me. He nodded before looking at Cameron.
“Will you deal with that please.” He spoke as calm as he could even though I could see the anger he had. “Grab Andrew will you.”
“Sure thing.” He turned to me and asked if I was going to be okay. I nodded as he put his hands up for the children whom took it and walked away with him other then Markus who refused to leave me. The other two went as he sat beside me.
“I’m sorry sir.” I gently said upset I angered him.
“You have nothing to be sorry about.” He smiled as best he could. I knew there was something hiding but I was in no position to say anything. “Now I’m guessing you’re here to join the pack.”
“If we please could sir. My little brother wants to go to school really bad and we cant if we are not in a pack. My mom has been through a lot and no mater how hard it gets she always makes sure we have everything we need or want.” Markus spoke gently causing the Alpha to look at him. “She has gone through pain and torcher so we could have the best life. She isn’t our birth mom but she is the closest think to a mother anyone could have..”
“Marcus.” I spoke upset. The Alpha was speechless.
“No mom, I’ve had enough of the Alphas looking at you with disgust.” Marcus said looking at me before he wrapped his arms around me. “They had no right touching you.”
“They touched you?” The Alpha spoke angry. Marcus pulled me to my feet and held up my sweater. There on display was my scars stumic with not only old scars but the Mark of the Gamma’s nails. The Alpha jumped to his feet and came over with worry and panic filling his eyes before his fingers gently touched one. I shuttered at his touch as the tears began to fall.
“My mother and there’s where the last Luna's to have loved me so much. I watched them both protect me as I ran.” I spoke through my tears as Marcus dropped my shirt. “I bare there rings to remember there sacrifice for our safety.”
“Please Alpha don’t tell Patric. He was only a week old baby when Mom died.” Marcus spoke upset. I hurt me so much to remember. I flopped back in the chair crying harder. “Mom, it’s okay. Your my mom and nothing is going to change that. My real mom gave me to you so she knew you would fill my heart with love she couldn’t give. I’m okay with that.”
“Oh baby.” I cried embracing him. The Alpha looked so hurt as he cleared a few tears.
“That’s why you are not really a rouge but not really a pack member.” He finally said after I was able to calm down.
“I am just a frightened women with two boys I have had to be strong for.” I spoke gebtly. “Really a sad excuse….”
“Don’t finish that.” The Alpha growled in warning. “You have been more of a mother two those to boys then I have even seen birth mother be. They are so polite and well behaved. No one could have raised them better.”
“I feel I have failed them though.” I said trying not to cry. The Alpha bent down in front of me with a hand on my shoulder.
“You shouldn’t.” He spoke with a smile.
“We love you mom.” Marcus said happily before he filled my arms again.
“We will happily welcome you to the pack no problem. We have three rooms available on the Alpha floor. That way I can keep an eye on you and the boys and make sure no one else bothers you. We should get you to the hospital for that new mark however.” He spoke standing and offering me a hand. Marcus also got up and stepped back. I reached out my left hand and he lifted me to my feet. He was going to lead me to the door when it swung open and in entered Patric with a very angry boy behind him. Patric raced to be behind me as the boy raced in. Esmeralda was next to enter as she jumped by the boy. I noticed him to be Jared. Oh no.
“Patric what did you do?” I gently asked as I let the Alphas hand go and looked at my boy. He scurried to me and held my leg for dear life.
“He didn’t do anything Mom, it was all Jared’s fault.” Esmeralda spoke. I froze and so did the Alpha behind me.
“Yes mom, Jared has been chasing me.” Patric spoke.
“You hit me first at the park.” Jared screamed. “its payback time.”
“Jared,” The Alpha snapped. Jared began to shutter. I rose and placed a hand on his arm causing him to just melt under my fingers. This caused a smile to form on my lips. Though he was an alpha he was so caring.
“So you think hitting a 5 year old is fare?” I asked Jared gently as I turned to him.
“He hit me.” Jared spoke.
“Yes but isn’t it the job of the older one to scold not hit back?” I asked gently. “Elders should never hit there junior.”
“That’s for babies. We are werewolves we teach each other a lesson.” Jared said stepping close. Marcus had none of this and stepped in front of me. When Jared tried reaching for his brother Markus had him on his ass in seconds.
“Don’t touch my brother.” Marcus spoke as he crossed his arms over his chest. Jared got up and charged. I had enough and froze them.
“Markus, Jared. This is not the way to deal with this. Jared love no matter what you do you will not beat Marcus.” I gently told him. “But if this is something you want to do, your Alpha and father agree, we will do it in the training grounds. Not in an office. There is far to much in here that you both could get seriously hurt from.”
“Alright Mom.” Markus spoke as I dropped magic. Jared took one look at us and left. Cameron walking in as he did. I felt my legs give out but I didn’t fall to far. Cameron had his arms around me. The Alpha was on the other side also with his arms around me.
“Magic?” Cameron asked as they got me to my feet. I nodded gently.
“She doesn’t practice it often so it really drains her when she uses it.” Marcus said before he snapped his fingers. “Mom you have use way more then you should have today.”
“I know Marcus.” I gently smiled as I felt like I was falling again but not for long. I guess both men tried to leave my side.
“I think it’s time we show her to her room. I couldn’t find Andrew.” Cameron said as he began to lead me out.
“She should see the doc first. She has a Mark on her stomach.” The Alpha said.
“I’ll take her right away.” Cameron looked at us the Alpha growled.
“None of that.” Alpha snapped. Cameron sighed as he picked me up bridle style.
“As you say.” Cameron said as he walked me out of the room and down the hall. All three of the children following me close. They where worried but I reassured them I was going to be okay.
