Twins Defeat

Chapter 19

I have been training for two weeks now, and the pack has gotten so much better. They where working together as a team more then single units. The men and women didn’t see each other as different people but one fighting unit. Did take some getting use to and man can mates really bite. Don’t know how many times Scott had to knock them down. I mean it was horrible.

It took a week to convince my mates to let me train them. They where at my side daily for that. Specially when I came home with a nasty bite on my arm. It was my fault got between two wolves fight over something that happened to the ones mate. I explained to them it wouldn’t happen again and it sure didn’t because Scott had the job of breaking them up. It also helped Mom made a surprise trip home. The doctor gave her an all clear within that week. I guess I killed the cancer cells that where attacking her and reawake her wolf that killed what I couldn’t. She has taken back over as Luna and at my side teaching me many things. We have been with each other day and nigh which was very helpful. My mates for the last week have been scarce. Them and Andrew have taken off early morning and are seen exhausted at night till it stopped all together. At first they snuggled at night with me and then would leave early morning. Now I’m lucky to even say hi to them. I was getting anxious and craved to be with them. Sometimes I think it’s there way of punishing me for asking to help train the pack.

“Good job today ladies.” I said a little out of breath. “Head in for a shower. You all deserve it.”

“Thank you Luna.” They said in unison making me smile. They where coming along now which was amazing. Esmeralda raced up to me and hugged me tight. She had progressed well and was able to keep up at least. She had a long way to be at Marcus level but she was well on her way. She at least now can defend herself. Marcus trains with her in the evening to help her out as it’s hard to spare with people much bigger then her.

“Lets go to the beach.” I said happily as I looked up to see plenty of sun left. She smiled wildly as she raced to the house. I followed close behind her after I looked over at Scott. He nodded and raced off. “Hi Mom.”

“Sweet heart.” Mom said from where she was sipping coffee at the window seat in the kitchen.

“We are going to head to the beach. Would you like to join us.” I smiled happily as I walked over to her. I sat down across from her where she was trying to force a smile. It was like she was reminiscing about something.

“Oh you don’t want this old women out there with all you young whippier snappers.” She chuckled as she tapped my hands with her. Well this got me laughing as I heard the pattering of feet coming to us.

“Who’s calling my grandma old.” Patric said coming around the corner. I chuckled with mom as we looked at him looking around. His eyes soon feel on her as he walked over. He grabbed her hand before saying. “Come on Grandma it wont be fun. Daddies are always so busy with uncle. Plus you got to enjoy the beach to.”

“Well guess this young women could do with some sun.” Mom said as she emphasized the young part. She held herself proud causing me to smile.

“That it will, plus I bet you could run laps around us.” I said as we began to walk towards the stairs. Mom just smiled at me as she grabbed my close to her. We let each other go as we walked up the steps towards our rooms.

“You should let your mates know. They wont be happy if they find you gone.” Mom said a little upset.

“I sent them a text this morning. I will try and link them as I find my bathing suite. Plus I will take a few warriors with us so we are guarded.” I smiled at her as I had already picked out a few. Jared’s dad, Scott, and his wife Beatrice where going to be coming. Jared and my boys have become close after the endeavors which made me happy. Jared’s Eldest son whom was 18 was also going to be joining us as well with his mate. Both fine warriors, guess they where the ones helping me when we had that fight in our wolf form.

“They aren’t normally like this. They have never been so busy they don’t have time for the ones they love.” Mom said a little upset.

“Don’t worry mom. I understand. I bet they are trying to keep things running smoothly. Specially since they probably had to take time off work for me. Not to mention the scouts have been doubled so there has to be a threat close by in one of the other packs.” I told her with a smile.

I found out a few days ago that Cameron and Caiden had four large businesses in the city. They both ran them as head CEO’s and not to mention the pack issues that Andrew couldn’t keep up with. I was in there helping him once with a few issues but I felt they where minor things that he should have known. Then I had to get the patrols set up a little stronger as none of them had time. I knew they where working themselves hard but it was hurting me I couldn’t help. I mean I am an Alphas daughter. I worked with my dad for a while and learnt some of this with him.

“Still those boys should find at least a few hours to see us.” Mom frowned as she grabbed her door knob. I just nodded as she entered her room and I kept walking to mine. The boys where ready with Esmerelda as I entered. They held up my swimsuits for me. I kissed the top of each of there head as I grabbed the clothing and went to the bathroom to change. I exit to find an exhausted Cameron on my bed as he was half in half out of the sheets. Caiden was trying to get him in further. I quietly walked over and led him to the other side before helping Cameron into bed properly. I kissed both of there cheeks before I stepped out of the room. Andrew was there and nearly fell on me. He caught himself.

“Don’t try working 4 days strait. Doesn’t help.” He spoke as I shook my head.

“I could have told you that.” I told him as I grabbed his arm and put it over my shoulder as I led him to his room. I got him into bed before I left him.

“Where you going?” He asked before I could leave.

“To the beach. Scott and Tanner are coming with there mates.” I told him causing him to smile and nod before his head hit the pillow. I chuckled to myself as I made my way downstairs. Everyone was waiting for me as we headed out to the car. I had stole the keys to the Mercedes. Scott was going to be in his own car and I think Tanner had his own to but wasn’t to sure.

“Mommy, why cant daddies come with us. Or uncle Andrew. I miss our time together.” Patric asked.

“Because they are to busy keeping us safe.” Marcus said with a sigh.

“But how are we safe if we aren’t happy.” Patric asked.

“Its okay Patric. Daddies will have a big surprise for us. Just you wait and see. They did this to me and Grandma once and then they took us to Disney land.” Esmeralda said trying to make them feel better.

“Really?” Patric said excited. That had been something he had been wishing for since he heard about it. I tried a few times but couldn’t save up enough.

“If not I will take us.” Mom chuckled. I smiled with her glad to hear her happy. I know how hard this was on her. She was use to them being around all the time and now they where away. It was probably because of me. My curse isn’t gone and I pray I haven’t doomed them. I have fallen in love with the pack. I knew I should have left weeks ago but everything seemed so happy. I had my mates, the children where in school and not to mention I had a mom again.

The ride was filled with Esmeralda explaining Disneyland to the boys and reminiscing old memories with mom. She was smiling and laughing. It warmed me to see it. She had been down the last day or so and I pray it wasn’t cancer coming back. As I parked the car everyone jumped out and ran to the beach. I was going to get out when mom grabbed my arm. I looked at her worried.

“None of this is to do with your so called curse. This is normal. Rouges attack strong packs. You being here does not change that. You make this pack stronger if anything.” She says really seriously as she holds my eyes with hers. “I know you enough to know that is what you are thinking.”

“I know Mom, it’s just always the first thing that comes to mind.” I sighed causing her to nod.

“I know sweetheart but you must remember that it’s not true. You are what makes this pack a pack. If you fall the twins fall and then the pack falls. You are the most important person right now and those boys better have a damn good reason for being away from you.” She said with a frown.

“Well maybe we will catch them when we get back and they can explain it. I just put the three of them to sleep.” I told her with a smile. She nodded as we got out and walked to the beach. Jared, Rascal, Esmeralda, Marcus and Patric where already in the water. Tanner and his mate where smooching off to the side and Scott was helping Beatrice set up the blanket. They had packed a basket of food.

“This was such a good idea. Rascal got into some chocolate before we came so he will get to wear that off.” Beatrice said as she flopped down on a towel. I smiled at her knowing what little boys on chocolate can do.

“Try me, I had twins.” Mom chuckled as we all laughed. Yep she had the win for sure. I sat down and watched the children as they splashed each other.

“How are you holding up?” Beatrice sat as she grabbed my hand.

“Holding but it’s hard. Guess this is what you get for having twin Alphas for mates.” I told her. “Doesn’t help they don’t want me helping and getting stressed.”

“They will come around it will just take time. They have been doing everything on there own for so long.” Scott smiled as he sat down behind Beatrice. She instantly rose and sat a short distance away. Scott pouted a little but apologized to me and mom.

“I just want to enjoy the day. I am at peace and happy with my life. I have learned to take it one day at a time. I know I will have my mates back just have to wait. I at least get there smell when I go home to sleep tonight.” I smiled happily remembering I tucked them into our bed.

“Why didn’t I think of that. I could have given you one of there shirts.” Mom said smacking her head. I chuckled at her as I pulled it away. “When there father was away for days I use to snuggled up in his shirt. Didn’t completely take away the loneliness but it helped.”

“I will try that. I think I have a bit of there clothing in the closet of the room.” I smiled at her.

“Come on Grandma.” Esmeralda called motioning for her and me to get over.

“She can swim now.” I told mom as she looked a little worried. Her face lit up as we all got up and began to splash the children happily. My mates where missing this. This was the fun they should be here with. I knew they where sleeping and I shouldn’t bother them but every ounce of my body wanted me to scream at them. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Mom was right they where busy working to keep there pack safe and I shouldn’t bother them.

Beatrice came up and put a hand on my shoulder as Marcus wrapped me in his arms. I should be living in this moment and not worry about anything else. I could always show my mates the time mom had with the children and there would be many more moments to share with them. It’s not like I am going to die tomorrow or something. I am still going to have to have a talk with them though. I sighed as I swam out till all I could do was tread water. This hole family thing is definitely harder then it looks. I’m just glad everyone is trying to have fun though it would be better if the Alphas where here.
