Chapter 25
“Mommy.” Esmeralda said as I walked into her room. She seemed to spend most of her time in her room these days unless she was at my side. My heart broke as I saw what she was doing. She was drawing pictures of the family. We where all together at the beach. She was really talented. I stepped over to her and wrapped my arms around her. “Angel cakes how are you?” I asked gently. “I haven’t seen you all day.” “I’m sorry mom. I just wanted to take some time and draw.” She spoke trying to smile. “Come let’s get dressed. We are going out.” I smiled at her. She nodded gently but wasn’t to enthusiastic about it. “I have a surprise for you.” “Mommy.” She broke down in tears and held me tight. “Baby girl what’s wrong.” I cried as I held her tight.
