Chapter 17

When I became conscious I was wrapped up tight against someone. A small body pressed close to me. My one hand was stretched out behind me. I was on someone’s arm instead of a pillow. I slowly opened my eyes to see Cameron asleep beside me. Patric was snuggled between us. I gently moved my head and seen my hand was being held by Caiden who was on a chair with Esmeralda sleeping in his lap. He was asleep as well. I could feel the tears in my eyes as someone gently cleared his throat. I looked over to see Andrew was leaning up against the wall.

‘Hey.’ I gently thought as I opened our link.

‘How are you feeling?’ He asked.

‘I’m okay.’ I gently told him.

‘Marcus is still with Mom. He may or may not have a few bruises but he is okay.’ He spoke with a side to side movement of his head.

‘what happened?’ I asked worried. He lifted his hand out in front of him and with a gently up and down movement he stepped towards me. I knew he wanted me to calm down but I couldn’t my baby has some bruises.

‘Oliva tried to force herself in here and he stood up to her.’ Andrew spoke gently. I wanted to get up to go see him but my body wouldn’t move. I mean I did have a large arm around my waist and Patric. Not to mention my other arm was being held by Caiden. ‘I promise he is okay. We got here before she could do any harm to him.’

‘My baby.’ I gently cried causing Caiden and Cameron both to wake up. They instantly pulled Patric carefully away from me. Cameron cradled me as I cried as Caiden disappeared with Andrew.

“Mom.” Marcus’s voice hit me after a few moment. I looked up to my baby in Caiden’s arms. He walked him over and placed him in mine. Cameron got us comfy on the bed before the other two snuggled in. Caiden took his original set as Cameron leaned against the headboard.

“I’m so sorry baby.” I gently whispered over and over again as I kissed him and the other two. They snuggled closer to me as I just cried holding them.

“Easy love.” Cameron spoke as he gently rubbed my arm. “Rest we are here now.”

“I’m sorry.” I gently spoke. “If I had the power I would make the bed bigger.”

“Oh love.” He chuckled as he leaned in and kissed my cheek. “You have given us something more important then being able to sleep beside you.”

“We will have lots of time to snuggle with you love.” Caiden spoke as he got up and kissed my cheek as well. “We can live with not snuggling close to you for now. Rest love you have done so much for us you don’t even know.”

“I love you both.” I gently whispered as I felt myself tire once more.

“We love you more baby.” They both said in unison as I drifted off again.

The room was empty when I woke up again. This time though I wasn’t at the hospital. I was back at home. I slowly sat up and looked around. The curtains where closed tight so the light wouldn’t slip through. I could see it through the seam and new it was day time. I removed the blanket and slowly moved my feet over the side of the bed where I got up slowly. I smiled when I found I could stand on my own. I knew I had to be getting stronger with my magic. I took slow steps to the bathroom where I had a nice warm shower. I smacked my head once I got out realizing I forgot my clothing. Wrapping the towel around me I walked out.

“Oh baby,” A voice spoke causing me to panic as I jumped back into the bathroom and slamming the door. “I’m sorry baby. I didn’t me to scare you.”

“Scare her I think you gave her a heart attack.” Another voice spoke before gently tapping came to the door. “Av, love, are you okay?”

“Yeah.” I stuttered out before I opened the door causing both boys to look at me upset. I dropped my head and held the towel tighter.

“I’m sorry Av,” Cameron said wrapping his arms around me. I wrapped one of my arms around him as the other held up the towel.

“Alright Cam, let the poor girl breath and dress.” Caiden said. I smiled happily as Cameron let me go so I could run over to my closet. I found a pair of jeans and a simple flowing flowery top. I smiled as they looked at me with smiles.

“Let’s go get you something to eat.” Cameron said reaching out his hand. I grabbed it blushing as Caiden came around to the other side and placed his hand on my back. I smiled happy to have both my mates here.

They led me down stairs, but as we got to the bottom Andrew had to pull them away. I frowned but not before they left. I knew if Andrew came and got them it was important. I just kept walking to the kitchen where I was presented with a horrible sight. Olivia was about to strike Esmerelda. A growl ripped from my chest causing her to shake. Esmeralda raced over to me as I held her to me.

“How.”

“I dare you to touch one of my children again.” I snapped harshly. She shuttered as she dropped her head.

“Yes Luna.” She disgustingly said.

“Get out of my face.” I harshly said before kneeling down. Esmeralda wrapped her arms around my neck.

“Mom.” Marcus called worried as he came in. I saw the bruising on his face and cringed. I ran a gentle finger over it healing it quickly.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you.” I spoke gently.

“Its okay mom you’re here now.” Esmeralda said as she let me go so I could look at her. Though she was crying she smiled.

“Did she touch you?” I asked. She shook her head no. “Have you all eaten?”

“No, I missed lunch.” Esmeralda said upset.

“Moms here, we will eat together.” I told her with a smile as I got up and we walked to the fridge. I began to make grill cheese sandwiches for us.

“Mommy.” Patrics voice screamed through the hall once we where fed. I jumped up and raced to him. I found him in the back yard being chased by Jared.

“I got this mom.” Markus smiled as he ran past me. I followed behind at a walk, Esmeralda holding my hand.

“Leave me alone.” Patric cried as he looked for me. When he saw me he slammed on the brakes and raced to me. Jared did the same but as he turned he came into contact with Marcus.

“Leave my little brother alone.” Markus said.

“Oh so here comes little cry baby big brother.” Jared chuckled as I lifted Patric to my hip.

“He was chasing me with a spider.” Patric cried. I growled looking his way.

“Awe look a mama’s boy. How pathetic.” Jared chuckled. Well Markus had enough and with a quick movement he had Jared out stretched arm behind his back and he was pinned to the floor.

“Apologies.” Markus demanded.

“Never.” Jared said breaking out of the hold just to go into another one by Markus.

“Apologies.” Markus said once more.

“You will not defeat me.” Jared spoke as he got out once more. This time Markus was done playing and chock hold him.

“Apologies.” Markus said with a growl.

“I’m sorry.” Jared squeaked. Markus instantly released him causing him to choke. I stepped over and offered him a hand. He seemed a little afraid to take it but did.

“You okay?” I asked gently.

“Just hurt ego.” Patric mumbled. I looked at him and he became quiet.

“I’m sorry.” Jared said gently.

“I know, but what I would like to know is why. I warned you he would beat you and yet you still did.” I gently spoke to him and I knelt down so I was looking up at him.

“I didn’t think he was that strong.” Jared said. “He doesn’t look it anyways.”

“Sometimes you cant judge a book by its covers.” I told him as Patric wiggled out of my arms and ran to his brother. “These boys have grown up watching me struggle though everything. They didn’t want me to be unprotected in my weak state. They trained with the adults so if they needed to they could fight anything off to keep me safe.”

“But why. Your so sweet and kind. Why would anyone want to hurt you.” Jared asked confused.

“I don’t know. I tried to ask many times and everyone just told me I was a weakling.” I told him.

“But your not. Your strong and beautiful.” Jared said happily. He looked at me then at the boys and back at me before something went off in his brain. He turned to the boys. “I’m so sorry I guess I was just jealous how happy you where with your mom. My mom doesn’t get much time with me because of my little brother. But now I see something I never did before.”

“All good man. Friends.” Markus asked with his hand outstretched. Jared nodded and shook it. Patric did the same causing a smile to light my face before he ran off.

“And that dear people is our Luna.” A voice spoke causing all of us to jump. I turned to see Jared’s dad and a group of warriors staring at us.

“Luna.” They all said after they placed there right hand into a fist on the left side of there chest and bowed there head.

“Luna these are some of the pack warriors.” Scott spoke as he walked up to me. “They are still in the learning process.”

“Well I’m sure with a bit of training they will be fine warriors.” I said looking each of them over with a smile.

“Thank you Luna.” They said before they took off to the training ground.

“Off to train.” He smiled. “Would you like to join us. Our women train at the same time as our men but on different parts of the felid.”

“I think that would be great. I could use a work out. Haven’t had much time since coming.” I smiled at him.

“Yes we get to watch mom kick butt.” Patric said all excited. Markus however was not but I knew he wouldn’t say no. Staying in shape was important for me. If I wasn’t then I couldn’t keep them safe.

“Mom can you teach me?” Esmeralda asked. I smiled at her as we all walked after Scott.
