Alessio carried me into the mansion, and I didn’t say a word. I was done struggling. What was the point? I couldn’t even move, let alone walk out with whatever pride I had left. So I just held on to him and stayed quiet.
When he reached my room, Diego was there too, standing by the door like he was waiting for a good show.
“I didn’t ask you to carry me,” I snapped, the second my back touched the bed. “You just wanted to act like a man. I’m strong.”
Alessio raised a brow. “Do you find it so hard to say thank you, or is there something else wrong with you?”
