-- Chapter One – The stone walls of the royal palace were abuzz with chatter as news that a new royal guard spread like a wildfire in the meadows. Two of the guards standing post at the doors of the throne room exchanged news with each other as they waited for the arrival of the new guard. “Did you hear that it’s a princess from the Tiger clan?” “No way – you can’t be serious! A princess as a guard - it’s unheard of!” “But the Tiger clan have always been tough warriors – the kind that are not to be messed with. Even the women are not to be taken lightly…” The guards were interrupted by the sound of a throat clearing, both looking down as two figures appeared before them. One was a small pageboy, with orange hair and golden eyes – no older than 12 moons. He wore a simple garb that spoke of his position. The other figure was a slender woman with gold eyes but long, glistening white hair tied back into a ponytail. Her dress was a simple design – slim straps that sat on her shoulders with a free-flowing base, and a scarf wrapped around her waist revealing her frame. But it was the elegant blue and green cloths with gold lining that gave away her lineage. And much to the guards’ surprise, she was carrying a rapier-like sword in her hand, sheathed in a black case emblazoned with a gold tiger – the crest of the Tiger clan. “Excuse me gentlemen, but if you could dispel with the gossip, I would like to be on time to greet the King.” The woman scoffed as the guards quickly realized who the woman was. One of them, however, was not pleased with the newcomer’s haughtiness. He stepped forward, his 6ft frame easily towering over her as she stood at no more than 5ft. “Listen here, you need to know your place woma-…” his fellow guard could only watch as the woman’s eyes narrowed, before presenting a dagger to the throat of the threatening guard with immeasurable stealth. She stopped an inch short of his jugular, freezing both the other guard – and the pageboy – in a state of shock. She was unfazed as she stepped in front of the guard who dared threatened her with his mere presence, not moving her dagger from its position as she lightly pressed herself against him. “You would be wise to not make a mockery of me – unless you wish to lose your life.” The guard knew at that very moment, that making the newcomer angry was a big mistake that would cost him his life if he wasn’t careful. He gulped as he stepped back to his post, the newcomer letting out an audible sigh as she placed her dagger back into its sheath. She looked at both guards as she stood tall again, despite her height. “Now, announce my arrival to the king. Tell him that La’hiri, the third princess of the Tiger Clan’s king, is here.” The guards, without haste, hammered their spears into the ground twice, before the large stone door behind them began to open. The noise of the opening door gave the pageboy a chance to speak to his princess. “Lady La’hiri, you shouldn’t pick fights with people. You’ve only just arrived at the royal castle.” The woman laughed as she saw her pageboy flustered on her behalf. “Sehanes, are you worried about me? Shouldn’t you focus your concern on my sisters Shi’va or La’Mir?” La’hiri knew that her pageboy did have a point. As the third daughter and the warrior representing the Tiger Clan, she knew she had to make a good impression – especially towards the king of the Beast Realms. His name was revered and feared, with not a soul daring to take him on in combat or war. His name was Zephyr. A beast from the Silverback Clan. La’hiri’s father would often tell her tales of how the king’s father, Zenith, defeated and killed the Lion Clan’s king before taking the throne of the Beast Realms as his own. Now that his son was on the throne, she expected her work to be cut out for her. Her thoughts were cut short as the voices of the guards echoed through the open stone door, both of them clearing the entrance for La’hiri and Sehanes. “THE WARRIOR OF THE TIGER CLAN HAS ARRIVED!!!” -- Zephyr POV – Looking through the throne room, my royal guards and elders were whispering to one another. I knew that they were none too thrilled about an outsider joining their ranks, a female no less. But having their strongest soldier – the third princess in line to the Tiger Clan’s throne – would prove to be advantageous, especially with a family as ancient and noble as the Tiger clan. And stories of her dominance in the battlefield caught my curiosity. Was she small and stocky, built like the cinderblocks that decorated the gardens of the royal castle? Perhaps she was round, like a baby’s first ball. I couldn’t hold my amusement as a small chuckle escaped my lips. The amusement was halted by the sound of my betrothed next to me. “Something amusing you, your highness?” Rhea, my future queen and wife, inquired as I cleared my throat. Her gold dress clung onto her broad frame as her long black hair shone in the sun, reaching the top of her buttocks. “Nothing, my love. Just imagining what this she-warrior from the Tiger clan looks like. Whether she resembles a ball or not…” Rhea let out a small sigh and looked at me, stern and powerful as a queen should. “You should not discount the strength and ferocity of a woman. She is the strongest warrior of the Tiger clan for a reason, and you should keep that in mind lest you want a knife in your back.” Rhea raised a valid point. What if I angered the new warrior enough that she would assassinate me? I continued to lose myself in my thoughts when I heard the guards outside bellow. “THE WARRIOR OF THE TIGER CLAN HAS ARRIVED!!!” All who were present in the throne room turned their gazes to the doorway, watching the doors open slowly to reveal the figures behind them. Now I wonder what she looks like… What have you sent me Vaheem, king of the Tigers. As I cleared my throat to welcome the new royal guard, my eyes turned their attention to the figures walking towards me, and my world began to slow down. I could feel her warrior spirit emanating from her presence, but not just that, but my thoughts begin to race as I watch her coming closer to me. Who is this woman?? She seems so small – but so powerful… She looks so exotic. So beautiful. Her hair, her eyes. All of her – beautiful… The woman stops at the base of the stairs leading to the thrones and both she and her page bow their heads. I regain my thoughts, going down the stairs to greet her. I catch her scent – citrus and mint combined in a concoction that could send any man to his grave. I walk towards her, reaching the bottom of the stairs, all the while looking at the figure before me as her white hair shimmered in the sun that radiated through the throne room windows. I cleared my throat quietly and regained my thoughts. “State your name, newcomer.” I order with authority as she looks up at me, unfazed and stoic with golden eyes glistening with fealty. Seeing how small she is, I am amazed that she is not intimidated by my towering height of 7ft. She would be no more than 5ft, maybe a little less… … But size meant nothing if you had the ability to kill… The woman before me stands tall, her confidence firm as she looks up at my gaze. Her dress blows lightly with the breeze entering the throne room as she responds to my order. “I am La’hiri. Third daughter of the Tiger clan, King Vaheem.” Her voice was strong, but felt so seductive that it made the hairs on my body stand up. “I have come to serve you, my King.” Her words and honey-like voice were buzzing through my head. Serve me…? Come to serve me…? I look down as she bows again, holding her sword in her hand as she pays her respects to me. I didn’t need to think too much about why I was taken aback by the small warrior princess before me. I could feel my breath getting shallow as my thoughts were consumed by images of taking her into my sheets, feeling her body pressed against me as I penetrated her body. The thoughts made my core rumble with a primal greed that I had never experienced before - not even with Rhea. I wanted to f—k La’hiri. I wanted to make her body subservient to me and me alone… I wanted to make her mine. -- To all who stumble upon this story - thank you for making it this far. I will do my best to update this story as much as I can. But a little about me: I am KuroKitsu and it is a pleasure to meet you. I enjoy writing as a way to pass the time, as well as drawing and lifting weights. I also love mochi. Hope to see you in Chapter 2!!
