Chapter 2
Kristen's POV:
He gave me a mischievous smile before thrusting inside, forcing me to cling to him tightly just to endure it. Clearly, he had no idea this was my first time.
I bit my lip, trying to hide how inexperienced I was, but the pain brought tears to my eyes. Finally, I whispered in his ear, "Um, I've never done this before. Could you maybe go a little easier?"
My words actually made him stop. He looked down at where we were connected, and I followed his gaze. I saw a little bit of blood, and my face flushed bright red.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know." He lifted my chin, his voice suddenly gentle. "Don't worry, I'll make sure this is a good experience for you."
He slowed down, starting to kiss me gently, from my earlobe to my lips. I met his piercing blue eyes, and my heart nearly skipped a beat.
I cursed myself for being so weak. "It's just a one-night stand. What am I thinking?"
Shoving those messy thoughts aside, I tried to kiss him back.
"That's right, we're already doing this," I thought, "so I might as well enjoy it. I can't let that damn Klein mess with my head anymore."

Even though I had made up my mind to fully enjoy my first time, I didn't expect this werewolf to be even more intense than I imagined. Just when I thought we were done, he'd pull me back to bed, wrapping me up in another round. By the time I was completely exhausted and came to my senses, it was already dawn.
Gosh, I never thought I'd become this wild.
As we ended, I glanced at the messy sheets stained with bodily fluids and faint traces of blood. Embarrassment washed over me, but I tried to play it cool. I slipped on a robe and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows, smiling at the hot werewolf.
"Hey, what's your name? Do you work at that bar? How can I reach you next time?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
He lit a cigarette, taking a drag in an impossibly sexy way. His eyes met mine, a hint of amusement in them. "You don't recognize me?"
"Should I? Are you famous or something?" I couldn't help but chuckle.
He didn't deny it. He just gave me a subtle, knowing smile. "Guess I need to get out in public more," he mused.
Suddenly, he held out a black card to me. I froze for a moment, and then took it hesitantly. "What's this?"
He shrugged. "The hundred thousand dollars we agreed on."
Startled, I quickly tossed the card back to him. "I don't want it! What do you think I am, some kind of stripper?"
I felt relieved, but also ashamed of my earlier hope for a renewed relationship. Clearly, he wanted to keep things strictly professional.
I hurried to take a shower and change.
"You're leaving?" He raised an eyebrow. "It's late. You can rest here if you want. I don't mind."
I looked at the werewolf, who was already sitting on the couch with a drink. His tone puzzled me – it seemed oddly superior for someone in his position.
"Forget it," I sighed to myself, "we're done here."
Cassius' POV:
The stunning human girl scrambled to get dressed and bolted, looking at me like I might eat her alive at any moment.
Well, fair enough. She wasn't wrong. I glanced down at c**k, hard and ready for a next round, frustrated, and headed to the shower to cool off and regain composure.
Just then, my wolf Leo's reflection appeared in the glass.
"That human girl was... different, Cassius. The way she got under your skin so easily. It's weird, man." Leo shook his head slightly.
I shrugged indifferently. "Doesn't matter. She's just a human. No way she could be my mate. The royal family would never accept a human girl as Luna."
I felt irritated thinking about how she'd mistaken me for a call boy. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I, a Lycan Prince, would be mistaken for something like that. I wanted to explain the truth, but unfortunately, I was here at Twilight Pack to catch a traitor. I couldn't risk blowing my cover.
As Lycan royalty, I rarely appeared in the media, so I didn't bother with a disguise.
Leo snickered, "Yeah, right. You're totally smitten with her, man."
I turned around, annoyed. "Drop it, Leo. We've got s**t to do."
I tried to shake the girl's image from my head. She was human, after all. Our paths wouldn't cross again.

Kristen's POV:
To dodge that backstabbing witch Alice, I steered clear of the dorm. Instead, I crashed at my bestie Lily's place. Her family was loaded, so she had her own swanky apartment.
It was Saturday, and I thought I'd finally get some decent rest in her bed. But at 7 AM, a phone call jolted us both awake.
My sleep-addled brain snapped to attention when I saw the contact name. "Sweetheart."
"Are you kidding me? Klein's got the balls to call? I'm blocking his ass right now!" I growled.
Lily quickly rubbed my back, trying to calm me down. "Easy, Kristen. He's still the future Alpha, remember?"
She had a point. Even though Klein was the cheating scumbag here, nobody in Twilight Pack would dare sass an Alpha.
"What do you want, Klein?" I answered the phone, my voice cold.
"Kristen, where the hell were you last night? You didn't come back to the dorm. Did you cheat on me?!" Klein's voice crackled with fury.
"That's none of your damn business! You don't have the right to care anyway," I replied, trying to keep my temper in check.
Klein sighed and tried to persuade me. "Look, I know I screwed up, but Alice meant nothing. You're my true mate, babe. Whatever happened last night, I don't care. Just come back to me, okay? When we tie the knot, you'll be the luna of the Twilight Pack."
Klein was such a scumbag! He actually thought I'd forgive him! I was shaking with anger, nearly blurting out the words to reject him as my mate. I knew how to reject a werewolf - it wasn't really taught in textbooks, but I found it online.
I bit my lip and spoke, "I'm going to..."
Just then, Lily pinched me hard. "Kristen! Are you out of your mind? Do you want to make an enemy of the entire Twilight Pack?" She hissed under her breath.
Her words snapped me back to reality. The refusal died in my throat.
Lily was right. Sure, I could easily reject Klein with just a few words, but the truth was, I'd lost that choice the day I became his mate.
It had been less than a century since werewolves and humans started coexisting peacefully. Despite the lycan royal family's push for equality, a lycan could still easily tear apart a fragile human. Yes, lycans who killed humans faced punishment, but that wouldn't bring back a lost life.
I was not saying Klein would fly into a rage and kill me for rejecting him. But I knew how domineering Alphas could be. Rejection was agonizing for werewolves. If I caused him pain and damaged his reputation, he wouldn't let it slide. They had countless ways to make my life hell in the Twilight Pack.
"Kristen, my sweet girl, forgive me, please?" Klein's whisper came through the phone. "I promise, I won't have anything to do with Alice again. She hit on me, you know. We werewolves have strong urges, and you wouldn't let me touch you..."
I felt a wave of nausea. This asshole was actually trying to pin his cheating on me! What a grade-A douchebag.
I took a deep breath, choosing to say nothing. It was the biggest compromise I could make. But Klein seemed to take my silence as acceptance of his apology, and he chuckled. "Wait for me, baby. I'll take you out for dinner tonight."
As soon as Klein hung up, the floodgates opened. I broke down sobbing. "Lily, what the hell am I supposed to do? I can't marry that jerk!" I wailed, burying my face in my hands.
Ever since Klein told me I was his mate, I thought my life was set. But now? I felt like I was drowning in quicksand.
Lily was quiet for a beat, then pulled me into a hug. "What about talking to your mom?"
I shook my head firmly. "No way. She's a beta's mate now. She's on the same side as the Alphas. There's no way she'd help me!"
Lily's brow furrowed as she brainstormed. After a moment, she perked up. "What if... what if you took him to Werewolf Court? Listen, Kristen, even an Alpha has to answer to the Court. That's pack law straight from the royal family."
I was taken aback. "Would that work?"
"I'm not sure," Lily admitted. "There's never been a case of a future Luna suing an Alpha before. But I've heard of regular mates winning similar cases. The cheater has to accept rejection and can't retaliate."
Her words kindled a tiny flame of hope in my chest.
"What exactly do I need to do?" I asked, feeling lost.
Lily's eyes flashed with determination. "We need to get in touch with a werewolf lawyer. We've got to build a case." She squeezed my hand. "I've got your back, Kristen. No matter what."
I was touched by her support and nodded, though I felt uncertain inside. Evidence? How was I supposed to find that? I'd run away so quickly that day! If only I'd thought to take some photos.
"Come on, girl. Dry those eyes," Lily said gently. "Let's get you cleaned up and grab some breakfast."
I nodded, changed my clothes, and headed out with Lily.
As we walked, Lily shot me a sidelong glance. "So... where'd you disappear to last night?"
I froze for a moment, then blushed. I wasn't sure if I should tell her about my run-in with that smoking hot call boy.
Before I could answer, I suddenly realized people around us were pointing and talking loudly about me. "Holy s**t, that's her! That's Kristen, the b***h who plagiarized Alice's graduation project!"
