Kristen's POV:
Cassius said apologetically, "I know this is too sudden for you. But I hope you understand that I..."
Before Cassius could finish his sentence, a maid walked into the hall and bowed to him. "Your Highness, the meal is ready," the maid said.
Cassius immediately stood up. "Come on, we need to have a nice big meal to celebrate."
I was momentarily taken aback but followed him, my curiosity about what he had just been about to say growing stronger.
As we began to eat, the atmosphere still felt a bit strange. Due to his identity as a Lycan prince, I no longer dared to speak casually to him like I did when we first met. I found this feeling genuinely awful.
"Kristen, you said you had moved on from Klein, right?" Cassius suddenly asked.
