In my hazy vision, Cassius' silhouette began to blur.
Standing before me, Cassius started to undergo a strange metamorphosis, as if something within him was awakening. I squinted, trying to focus. His muscles bulged, arms growing thick and powerful. His fingernails elongated into sharp claws. The transformation left me dumbstruck, my heart pounding like it might burst from my chest.
Then came the soft cracking of bones shifting beneath his skin, confirming this wasn't some alcohol-induced hallucination. Cassius' facial features morphed, no longer human but taking on a lupine aspect.
