Kristen's POV:
As the four of us bustled about the kitchen, Lily suddenly perked up. "Hey, shouldn't we grab some beer? This calls for a proper celebration!"
Leonard jumped on the idea. "Brilliant! Want some company for the beer run?"
Lily grinned and nodded, and before I knew it, they were out the door. The kitchen fell silent, leaving just Cassius and me.
I continued chopping veggies but soon felt a warm presence behind me. Cassius wrapped his arms around my waist, enveloping me in his strength and warmth.
Cassius murmured, his voice a low rumble against my ear, "Kristen, do you have any idea how much I've missed you?"
