"Hello, Granny, how have you been? I have some good news for you." Luke said, beaming with smiles, and I sat admiring him.
"I will be coming to visit you this weekend with my fiance," Luke said, winking at me.
"Oh Wow! I can't wait. This is what I have been expecting from you for a long time. I need grandchildren." Luke's grandmother said at the other end of the phone.
"You both should hasten up. I will have everything ready before your arrival; just come along with my soon-to-be daughter-in-law," she said excitedly.
"Sure, granny, I have to go now; see you soon." Luke said it sweetly as he ended the call.
"Annie, that was my grandmother." She's everything to me, which is why I had to fulfill her wish by requesting a contract marriage so that she could stop pestering me about getting married. I want you to play your game well by acting up real good when we get to see her." Luke said, giving me a pleading look.
"Sure, Luke, you can trust me. I am really good at such things. You might want to start referring to me as actress Annie." I replied with a smile.
"Hahaha, funny you," Luke replied. "Well, maybe I will start calling you actress Annie, but make sure you play the role your name defines you as," he said, returning my smile.

"You will be going on a business trip with me this weekend." Justin said to me as he flipped through the stack of files on his table.
"A what?" I asked, startled by what I heard.
Not repeating himself, Justin added, "You won't need any of your outfits. I already have made provisions for things you will need for the trip."
Annoyed with Justin for concentrating on his files and not giving me explanations on what he was talking about, I flared up.
"Justin! You called me here, telling me you have something important to discuss, and now you are just concentrating on what only God knows if it's important or not." I said, looking at him with visible disgust.
Testing her patience, Justin decided not to answer her as he smiled inwardly. Gosh! She's so bold; no one has ever talked to him the way she's talking to him. Not even when he is on the verge of making them lose their minds, which he loves doing because, knowing fully well, there is nothing anyone can do to him. He was known as the quiet devil, known to frustrate people in a subtle way while looking very calm and innocent. Maybe because of his looks, everyone seems to overlook his attitude and still admire him.
"Damn! I am so good-looking. Once I raise my head up to her, she will gasp for breath upon seeing me." Justin said to himself with a sly smile on his face.
Raising his head to reply, Justin smiled inwardly as he looked at Annie, whose mouth was a little bit parted, and her eyes widened as she stared at him with deep admiration.
"OMG! This guy is so perfect! Why will an asshole like him be so stunning? His looks don't match up with his attitude. I thought, still staring at Justin, unable to take my eyes off him.
Replying to me, Justin said, " I never knew you were someone who isn't smart enough to get vital information on first explanations," he said, giving me a mocking look.
"Well, I am also someone who doesn't go around repeating words. Just so you will be able to get the right information, I will email it to you." Justin said.
Sucking my teeth in disdain, I said, "I heard what you said earlier; I am not just okay with the date."
"I guess you know how to read, and I am very sure you read the contract documents before signing them.
You don't get to decide what to do. I get to do that because I am the one paying. Well, if you aren't satisfied with the date, I can go alone, but just so you know, $4 million will be deducted from your salary this month for countering the rule of contract that says, "The employee must never object to the decision of the employer." Justin said it wickedly, giving me a mean look.
" Really? A whole four million dollars deduction?" I asked, mouth opened looking surprised at Justin.
"I don't repeat my words," Justin said sternly to me.
"I can't let a whole sum of four million go just because I want to please Luke and because I want to prove to this jerk that the money means nothing. No, four million really means a lot." I thought sadly, looking around Justin's office with annoyance, not being able to look at him so that I wouldn't be charmed by his looks.
"I will go with you this weekend."I concluded, looking down at my fingers.
"I thought as much; a reasonable person wouldn't let go of four million so easily, '' Justin said with a chuckle. "You can get going, discussion over." He said this, turning back to the documents on his table.
Leaving his office, I whispered a little bit loudly so he could hear, "Just so you know, I am smart, really smart." I said, storming out of his office.
Getting to the car park where Carol's car was parked, I gulped in a lot of air so that I wouldn't get suffocated with the annoyance Justin gathered in me.
My cell phone ranged. Carol is calling.
"What's up, cutie? How did the meeting with the devil go?" Carol asked.
"I want to kill him. I so much want to squeeze his running mouth and lock it up with the biggest padlock," I said, In-between gritted teeth.
" Wow! Calm down, angry bear," Carol said playfully. Don't let the big bad wolf hear you say that," she said, still laughing.
"I wish he could hear so he would know how mean he is."
"You will be going along with me to an all-night party at the Flaws Hotel. It's going to be lit." Carol said it excitedly. "Be ready by 9. Don't get caged by the big black wolf." She said it with a giggle as she ended the call.
"He wouldn't even dare it." I answered loudly.
"Well, maybe one more word from you and see if you wouldn't spend the whole day guarding me." Justin said behind me.
Startled at hearing his voice, I bit my lips hard in irritation before turning around to him, mustering the boldness in me, I said with a low but confident voice, "I dare you to try that."
