Chapter 27: Just Like Old Times

Danielle's POV:

So after school, I'm here at the mall with Knight. Yep, you heard it right. I'm with Knight and we are having our "date." Again, date is the term we use for brother and sister bonding. We spotted some student from our school and since because they saw us, I'm hundred percent sure it will be on the school newspaper.

We are currently picking a ring for Shine; no Knight is not going to propose, he was just looking for something special for her because Sky and Shines birthday is a couple of weeks away. Isn't he sweet? Anyways, we found the perfect ring and it was so cute. He ask the staff to engrave their initials on it and afterwards we are heading toward a McDonalds since Knight is complaining that his hungry.

"So what are you going to give Sky?" Knight asked as he took a bite on his double cheeseburger. "I don't know. I haven't thought of it yet. All I know is that, I wanted to be special." I shrugged. “Do you have any suggestion perhaps?” I asked him. “Sky literally has everything. I can’t think of anything to give him.”

We kept on talking on what to do on their birthday. Knowing Knight, he likes to give people that would make them special and the ring would totally be the perfect gift. As for me, I still have nothing on my mind. Sky has everything, so it’s hard to think if the person has everything.

Knight offered some suggestion like backpack or watch but it is still not enough. What to give to my loving sweet boyfriend. If I’m going to give him a backpack, where would he use it? If I gave him a watch, He has a lot of watch. I don’t even wear a watch. “It’s hard to think a present for Sky. “He said. Suddenly his face lit up like a light bulb just pop out. “I know what you can give him.” He said with a huge smile on his face. “What?” I asked with a confused. Knight leans down and whispers something.

He did not just suggest that…………….

We were walking hand in hand, not caring if people see us. We always do this and Knight is the one who suggested it because of his brother protectiveness. He kissed me on the cheeks. "I miss hanging out with you." Awww I have the sweetest brother. I also did the same thing, I kissed his cheeks. "I miss hanging out with you too."

Hanging out with Knight is something that I really miss. We talked about our childhood memories and our mates of course. The next morning, something was a little bit awkward. Wanted to know why? Let's just say that as we enter the school, people kept looking at us and then start gossiping. What the hell?

We just ignore them and went straight to our locker. But what confuses me most, is that people are staring something at my locker, some students notice our presence and start warning the other students.

The students looked at me like I stole my best friend’s boyfriend. The cleared our path to my locker and what we saw made us shocked. There are some photos posted on my locker and not just any photos but the photo was about the date with Knight.

"She's cheating on her boyfriend and her friend." I heard someone said. What the Hell!! Sky looked angry and pissed. "Who the hell did this?" He yelled causing some student to flinch. "w***e girl! Slut girl! Cheater." Someone yelled. Knight heard it then grabs the person's shirt. "What the hell did you say?"

The guy was so scared he couldn't say anything. He was shaking like any second he would collapse. "So the news was true." A voice came from behind. We all turn and saw no other than Gwen, "Cheating not just on your boyfriend but as well as your best friend."

I couldn't help myself but laugh at her comment. The student saw it and looked confused. "My gosh Gwen." I said, wiping my tears of joy. "If I were you, I would take a nice picture and posted on my locker. Kissing Knight on his cheeks and holding his hand, this is not a proof."

Knight walked by my side. "Yeah Gwen, next time choose a convincing photo. How many times do we have to explain that we look up at each other like brothers and sister? I mean, I could kiss her cheeks and her forehead in front of you." Knight said then he kissed me on the forehead and cheeks. "See" he said, wrapping his arms around my shoulder. "If you are thinking that I would cheat on my girlfriend then you are wrong."

Gwen left us looking so pissed. "Okay, everyone shows over. There is nothing to see here now.” Darylle yelled. Knight and I looked at Shine and Sky with a “believe us” face. "Don't tell us you believe Gwen. This stuff is normal to us and normal to you." Knight said breaking the silence.

He walked towards to Shine and hugged her. "Look, I know what you are thinking but it’s not what it is." He said. Shine smiled at Knight. "I believe you, I always will. Danielle always tells stories about you two hang out. Beside, Crypton and I are like that when we hang out." She smiled.

Sky walk up to me and hold my hand. "Don't worry about it Danielle, we all believe you. We all see how you look up to each other and how you protect each other. Just like Autumn said we are like that." He smiled. "Thank you for believing us." I said as I hug him.

"We will always believe you. Beside Gwen would do anything to ruin your relationship" Darylle said. "She wouldn't be bothering us anymore." Sky chuckled and we all laughed. Good thing Gwen didn't saw us buying the ring or else Knight's plan would be ruined. We are both thankful for that.

Knight walked and hugged me. "Just like old times Lockette!"

"Just like old times." I said.
