Chapter 24: Feelings

Danielle's POV:

School was so, what’s the word again. Oh yeah, Boring. I even know how I manage to get all the answer right even though I'm not listening. But they it’s lunch time. Let’s just eat. Lunch at the cafeteria is one of my favorite subjects. I consider it as a subject because we are complete. Lunch is about Sky, Shine, Knight, Darylle, Xaria, Trevor, Jaden, Kyle and me.

Xaria and Darylle are my classmates throughout the whole period. And, because they are mates, let's just say, they couldn't get any cheesier. "How's your subject?" Sky asked as he sat beside me. "It ws boring, I guess." It sounded like a question than an answer. "You find the subject boring?" Knight asked as he puts his arms around Shine's shoulder and I nodded at him. "That's a first." He said.

“There will be always be a first in everything.” I smiled. "Are you busy tonight?" Sky asked. "Not really, why do you ask?" I answered.

“Do want to hang out tonight, like go somewhere?" Sky asked, rubbing his neck. I smiled and nodded. "I'd loved too.” I said and he gave a smile. "Where are you taking her?" Knight asked. "I’m taking her out." Sky teased follow by popping a "p". Knight glared at him. "Very funny," he said. "Why do you asked?" Darylle interrupt. "Just making sure they wouldn't go to where we are going." Knight answered him. "Where are you going?" Sky asked. "Somewhere," Knight smirked then Sky sticks his tongue out.

After school, as Sky promise we hanged out. We went to a small cabin where you could see a great view of the mountain. "This is so beautiful Sky; I can't believe you brought me here. This place is so amazing." I squealed. "I'm glad that you love it." He said as he holds my hand. "Danielle, I really wanted to say this to you but I don't know how." He said as his move closer to me and puts his other hand on my cheek.

"Danielle I,-" then his phone rang. "I need to take this." He left me pissed off.

Is he going to say that he loves me, but does he love me? Do I love him; what if he doesn't feel that way? He can date any girl he likes because I'm not his. Maybe, I'm his mate that's why he was just forcing hiself to love me, Should I give him a chance? Am I falling for him?

My thoughts were interrupted by Sky. "It's getting late, we should go home." He said and I nodded. "Sky, you are going to say something?" I asked. "Oh! It was nothing important." He said and I nodded. "Sky, I..." I trailed. "You...." he trailed. "I, I just wanted to say thank you for bringing me here.” I said. "You're Welcome.” Sky smiled at me.

As we got home, I didn't even say a word to Sky. What was I thinking, telling him that I'm falling for him? I went straight to my room. I'm tired and I wanted to take some rest. I was listening to some music when I heard a knock. I yelled "Come in" and came in.... Shine.

"Hi," She greeted as she sat down next to me. "Hey," I smiled back. "I'm happy that you already accepted my brother. Believe me, you could trust him. I promise that he would never hurt you.” She said. "I'm sorry if you are having a hard time, he is sweet but I just don't know if I'm doing it right." I said with full honesty.

"Doing what right," She raised one eyebrow up. "Letting him in, I know that were mates but he doesn't need to force himself to like me” I said, looking down.

"Danielle, he is not forcing himself.” Shine said, more like an assurance. "Earlier this evening, I was about to tell that I'm..... I’m falling for him." I said looking up "But, I don't know if I'm really am. I'm still afraid of what might happen." I said.

Shine gave me a hug. "Crypton would never hurt you. As far as I know, he is always happy when his around you. He wanted to show that he is willing to set aside this mate thing just for you. He saw you not just his mate but someone special to him." We talked for how many hours and yes, I’ll admit it. I love Sky. I do love him. I just hope that he felt the same way.

Sky's POV:

Later that evening, Xander decided that he wanted a talked. So here we are, talking outside. "I wanted to ask about Lockette." Xander is one goofy guy but when it comes to Danielle, he will always be serious.

"Shoot," I said.

"The moment that Lockette accepted you, she became different in a good way. I never seen Lockette like this, the way she talked about you is the same how she'd talked about her celebrity crush." He chuckled. "You know Lockette's past and how she felt about it. Can I trust you not to hurt her?" Xander is even more serious than before.

"You have my trust. The truth is, I was about to say how I truly felt but you interrupted.” I said as I playfully glared at me. “For the record, I'm still frustrated.” Yup, Xander is the one who called. Great timing, I mat added. "So, did you tell?" He asked as his went wide.

I shook my head. "No because, maybe she doesn't felt the same way. I know she's my mate but she is more than that." I said. "You what, Lockette would be very happy when she hear that.” He pats my shoulder. "Trust me," Xander said then he left me.

Before I went to my own room, I decided to check on my mate. Her door was slightly open and I can see her wide awake so I knock and open her door. "Hey!" she smiled.

"Hi! I'm just wondering; do want to go out on date with me?" I was kind of nervous; however, seeing her face with the huge smile on it, the smile that weakens every part of me. Everything is all worth it. I'm in heaven right now.

"I'd love too." She answered with the huge smile on her face. I don't care if I'm blushing right now. I just want to do this. “Tomorrow at six," I asked and she nodded. "See you tomorrow!"

I left her room with a crazy smile on my face. But it is all worth it. Tomorrow will be day.
