Chapter 7: Date! What?

Danielle's POV:

I knew that Shine will love Knight. They are definitely matched for each other. Also, I notice how they both looked at each other. I'm so excited for the both of them. I'm totally sure that they will make a perfect couple.

I just hope my plan will work. I decided to set them up on a date. I knew they would be getting along since they are both wolves, I actually forgot that Knight was about to tell me everything. I guess that can wait because I’ve got a date to make. Hey it rhymes!

I rush into Knight's room to get my belt from my bag since I was wearing a short and Knight's shirt that looks like a dress on me. I decided to put a belt on top of the shirt to make it fit. I was about head down when I bumped into a masculine body. I look up to see who I bump into and I saw him.

"Hi I'm Crypton Sky! But I prefer Sky!" He said, reaching out his hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Danielle Lockette but you can call me Danielle" I said, shaking his hand.

Again, with the sparks. Why do I keep on feeing it every time I touched him? I mean, I never felt sparks with Knight or Darylle. I can't explain it but I love the feeling holding his hand, especially the sparks.

Wait! No! No! No! Stop it Danielle. Wake up. Go now. "I better go!" I said, letting go of his hand. Strange I felt sad when I let go of his hands. Anyway, I'm just going to asked Knight later abut it. I went straight to the kitchen where I saw Knight, Darylle, Trevor, Jaden and Kyle.

“I thought you are going out?" Kyle asked. "I am! I just wanted to ask Knight something!" I said looking straight at Knight's eyes. "what is it?" he asked.

"Remember that you are going to explain everything later?" I asked. He nodded with a confused look on his face. "Well that could wait. I was just wondering, wanna have a date?" I asked.

I saw Darylle almost got choked and it was really funny, asking a guy out. But I don't care. Date is a codename for our brother-sister bonding. I saw him smile “I'd love too!". I smiled back

"Great! Since it is already eight in the morning, be at the park by eleven. Just wear something casual." I said. "Okay! See you there!" he said. I nodded and left. I was about to head outside when someone grab my arm, seconds later my back was connected to the wall. I looked at the person and was shocked to find out it was Sky. He is still holding my arm.

He looked angry and at the same time, he looks like he was going to kill somebody. "You are not going out with Xander!" he said, in an angry tone. I was about to answer when my phone rang, I checked who it was. I saw the ID caller, it was Shine. I answered it "Where are you?" she said. "I'm at the door silly. Don't worry. Bye!” I said, hanging up. "You're scaring me! Don't you know that?" I said, losing his grip on my arm and try to get away from him as soon as possible.

Sky's POV:

"You're scaring me! Don't you know that?" she said, losing my grip on her arm and left. “She’s scared of us!" Daemon said. I can feel that he is going to cry but on the other hand, I’m angry! Xander is my best friend and my beta. He should know his place.

I went to the kitchen to confront Xander "Hey Sky!" Trevor said. I didn't like when the call me Alpha so I just told them I just call me alpha if it is important or having a pack meeting. Ignoring Trevor, I went straight towards Xander. ”I overheard you and Danielle are having a DATE!" I said, trying not to so jealous but I think they can feel it.

"Yeah, it’s not actually a date-date. That's just the term we use to have a brother-sister bonding. I was planning to tell her everything so I think I would use that moment to talk to her!" he said. I felt embarrassed. I jump into conclusion, I was jealous for nothing.

I was shy to ask him but I need to make sure. "So! You and Danielle are not together or dating or anything right?" I said, shyly. He gave me a confused looked but eventually answered. "No! We are not together; we are not dating or anything. Danielle is my best friend. I also look up to her as my sister and she does the same thing. We never fell in love with each other. You could even asked her and she would just repeat what i have said.” He said.

I was about to ask another question when Darylle mind linked me. “He doesn’t that you’re Danielle’s mate. “You okay Sky?" Xander asked. “Yeah” I quickly answered back.

“You sure, you seem different?” He asked. Does he even know that I’m jealous? I smiled at him "Yeah! Of course I am! I'm just wondering since she just found out about the secret." I lied. Xander pat my shoulder "Don't worry. Knowing her, she can keep a secret. And, speaking of Lockette." he said, handing a small note saying;

"Sorry if I used your kitchen without permission but anyways I made pancakes and If you got hungry there is a lot for all of us! GOOD MORNING!

P.S. My Peace Offering for calling you guys Monsters! I'm sorry and I hope you could all forgive me!"

Danielle

I smiled at the note. Almost forgot that I am not alone. I snap out and ask if there are more pancakes left.

After Xander left, Darylle, Jaden, Kyle and I were on the kitchen, talking about Xander and Danielle. “Dude, don’t tell me you're jealous of Xander?" Jaden asked but I just rolled my eyes at him "If he is not jealous, why would he ask Xander?" Kyle teased. “Why don't you just tell Xander that you're Danielle's mate?" Trevor suggested, taking a sip.

I was about to answer when I smelt a scent of rose and vanilla and there, I saw my mate standing in front of the kitchen. "Hey guys!" she said and smiled. Her voice just gave me the chills that run down through my spines and her smile, it was- I can't even say the word.

"Danielle what are you doing here?" Jaden asked. "I thought you and Xander have a date?" Kyle asked. She smiled at them and sat beside Darylle which made me jealous. "Who's says of me dating? Date is just a codename for our brother-sister bonding." she said. "But he was about to tell you about everything" I said.

Suddenly her phone rang and she answered it. "Hey Knight!" she chuckled. "You could both thank me later. Just focus on your date. I know you felt some pressure about later so I just wanted you to calm down. Ok! See you later. Love you!" she said, hanging up.

I growled out loud which made all of them stared at me. "Did you just growl?" Danielle asked. I felt my eyes are changing; Daemon is trying to take the control even though I don't want to. “Are you okay? He is going to be okay? Danielle asked while I tried to calm Daemon down.

"Come on! Danielle let's get you out of here!" Darylle said, standing up and hold her hand. That’s when Daemon lost it. With my alpha speed, I rush towards to Darylle and push him to the nearest wall. "Mine!" I growled.

Darylle put his hands in the air for surrender "I know. Calm down. You are scaring her." he said, pointing at Danielle. My eyes went back to normal when I can see that she is really scared. "Danielle! I- " but was cut, she didn't say anything and just left us.

“I'm sorry!" I said as I let him go. "I'm fine and I'm also sorry. I shouldn’t have held her hands." he said as he pats my shoulder. ”If it’s okay with you, I’ll just check on her?” He said and I nodded. “Make sure she’s okay.” I said. Darylle nodded and left.

"I totally scared her off and now she won't talk to me" I said. "There is only one thing!" Trevor said. We all looked at him. "Xander" Kyle said. "All we can do is trust Xander." Jaden continued. "Xander is the only way.I know he would tell her everything." Trevor said.

(At the Park)

Xander's POV:

Walking around the park and I still no sign of Lockette, Geez! Where could she be? She is not the type of person who would be late. I decided to sit down for a while and text her where she is.

While waiting for her reply, I suddenly thought about Sky and his weird questions; why is he so interested about Danielle. I felt that he didn’t believe when I told him that Danielle is just a friend and a sister to me. My thoughts were interrupted by the beep of my phone. I looked at it and saw a message from Lockette.

“I'm sitting on the fountain and don't worry I'm the only person here and P.S. my top is a navy blue. See You!!! :D

The moment I saw the fountain, I smelt the scent of strawberry and chocolate and as I approach the fountain the smell grew stronger.

“Mate, our Mate is at the fountain" Ryder said. Something is not right. I could smell my mate, and at the same time, Lockette mention that she is only person at the fountain. “Maybe Lockette is your mate" Ryder said.

It can't be Lockette. She's my sister. I know that she would think that I am joking. I was at the other side of the fountain when I saw her sniffing around. Only a wolf can do that and the last time I checked, Lockette is not a wolf.

She suddenly turns her head and our eye locked at each other. "Mate!" we both said, at the same time.

Shine's POV:

I'm here at the park with Xander and don't asked why cause even I can't explain it. I thought I was waiting for Danielle and all of a sudden, I'm with my mate. We did call Danielle for an explanation but she just teased us.

Danielle got me on a date without even me knowing it. She is right. We both need to thank her. "Hey! Sorry about Lockette." Xander said as he holds my hands. I blushed as he smiled at me.

It's okay! We both know her and her. We also we need to thank her.” I said. He kissed my forehead and puts his hand on my cheeks. "All that's left is to tell her everything." he said. "I know she will understand it, do want me to help you, I mean since were mates!" I said. He nodded and kissed my hands.

I know it’s not my position but I told Xander that Danielle is Crypton's mate. I also asked him to help out so Crypton can get can to know Danielle. Xander mention that Crypton is acting weird this morning. He now knows why. I hope Danielle can see that she can trust and love my brother.

We went back to the pack house holding each other’s hand. We saw Trevor, Jaden, Kyle, and Crypton who looked surprise when they saw us."What's the meaning of this Autumn?" Crypton asked. "Shine is my mate." Xander said, proudly. I swear, I felt my cheeks turn into tomato when Xander said that. Trevor, Jaden, and Kyle congratulate us while Crypton approach Xander. "Hurt her or you're dead!" Crypton said, with a smiled.

I gave the Crypton the best hugged ever and kissed his cheeks and went back to Xander's side. "I'll protect her with all I can." Xander said, looking straight into my eyes. He lean down and peck my lips and all of a sudden we heard someone “ahem".

We both turn around and saw Darylle and Danielle, with a smirk on her face. "Hey! Danielle!" I said, nervously and I can feel my red cheeks. "Told you guys that you make a good couple!" she chuckled. We both hugged each other. "I'm so happy for you guys!" she said. I went back to Xander and he wraps his arm around my waist.

"So……” she trailed. “You guy have lot of explaining to do!" she said as she sits down at the couch. The room became quiet. I’m sure that Danielle will be okay!

"What do you want to know?" Kyle asked. “Everything, starting from the very beginning!" she said.
