New Beginnings

1 year had passed and Teo had totally moved on. Thanks to Jam and friends, and all they went through. After his graduation in high school he went back to his parents and continued his college life with them. School’s just a mile away from their home and meeting new friends was not hard enough. He misses his friends from high school and he just can’t stop from thinking of their thrilling experiences at the Donsal Road. His new place at Murc City is just next to the former and from time to time, he would keep in touch with them just to make sure they’re fine and no one and nothing’s been bothering their lives after their adventures into the woods.

On his way to school, he passed by a group of people surrounding a certain man lying on the ground as though fainted on the street. He came over to take a quick look. He couldn’t believe his eyes. It was his father unconsciously lying in there. He immediately ran to his father “Dad.. Dad... Wake up.. What happened?” A bystander at the back replied “He just fainted and we didn’t know what to do.” Teo bent over his father’s head and his old man was beginning to gain consciousness. “Dad.. Wake Up.” Then somebody from the crowd handed bottled water and let him drink. “Dad..” “I was hit by something”. “I don’t know what .. a strong wind blew and hit my head and I got fainted.” After hearing his father he began to feel uncomfortable and frightened. Then to his great surprise, he heard a whisper in his head uttering his name “Teeeooo, Teeeooo”. He had not been feeling that way a long time now and it’s beginning to come back again. Same old voice kept calling his name before and its coming back.. as he heard again.. “Teeeooo, Teeeooo..” Those weird feelings, mixed emotions and strange events were slowly beginning to heat up. He helped his father up on his feet and carried him on his shoulders trying to forget what he heard in his head. “Are you okay now?” Teo asked. Their neighbor who happened to be there and witnessed his father's fainting volunteered to bring him home. As he walked through school, he just can’t stop worrying about his father and the incident that just occurred. He heard another voice calling his name. “What if they came back? What if they still haunts us?” Teo thought.

“Luuukkkeee”. Jam was shouting at Luke when she saw him crossing down Haronione Street of Donsal City. Jam, Luke and the rest of their friends were left behind there after their fate into the forest. “Jam?” “What the heck”. Luke in great surprise replied as he was about to get hit by a rushing car. “Luke look out”. Jam shouted in fear. Fortunately the car stopped before hitting Luke’s knees. “Whew.. that was close”. Luke uttered. Jam came closer to him and apologized for what she did. “It was indeed close”. Jam in great remorse said. The driver of the car just drove off without any word and they were both left stunned. “I just got excited when I saw you, I’m so sorry”. Jam intensely apologized. Luke was still in the state of shock when his phone rang. It was Teo. He took a deep breath and immediately answered the phone..“Just as the man I wanted to talk to”. “Who’s that?” Jam asked. “It’s Teo.” Luke answered. “Hello man, you know Jam just almost got me killed here.. what about.” “What?” TEo exclaimed. He can hear Jam’s voice over the phone laughing and saying, “He’s joking.” “Will both of you please listen, we have to meet, something came up and you have to know.” “Same time and same place tomorrow, ok.” Then he hanged up the phone and left Luke and Jam wondering what came up. “Are you fine now Luke?” Jam asked. “You should be, because you have to call the others about tomorrow.” Jam grinning said. “Me again?” Luke complained. “Please, please Luke, I have some chores for my mom and no time to contact Solenn and others please do it for me”. Jam begged. They usually meet at Sam’s Resto just in between the boundaries of neighboring cities Donsal and Murc. They really liked the place because it’s accessible to both of their home cities.

Teo was preparing breakfast when he saw his father coming out of their room rubbing his head. “Good Morning Dad.. feeling okay now?” Teo asked. “Never been better.” His dad replied. “But I’m still trying to figure out what happened to me”. “Nobody was there, I was walking alone and then a blow of a strong wind came rushing and it came to my mind that a storm is coming but suddenly something hit my head and I remember nothing.” While his father was saying, Teo heard again a voice in his head whispering “Teo.. Teo”. As if those voices were calling him back to the woods. His suspicions were getting stronger but he can’t tell him his thoughts. He didn’t want his parents to worry after all that had happened. “Does mom know?” He asked while eating his breakfast. “I didn’t told her, I don’t want her to be bothered.” His dad replied. He was exactly like his dad Mr. Marlo Sanders. An Intelligent, responsible and loving man who would think of his family and friends first before himself. He was a businessman by profession. “I may be getting old that’s why.., don’t mind me, I’m fine now.” He added. His mother Amber was a plain housewife and taking care of their household everyday jobs. After Teo’s and friends’ accident she had worried so much and now she sees to it that her husband and his son should be safe in her own home. She made sure that everywhere they go she knew and if it’s coming late they call. When they saw her coming out of the room they changed topic and Teo greeted, “Hi Mom, Good Morning, I’m going now.” “Not so fast my dear, where do you think you’re going?” His mother asked. “I’ll be meeting friends.. Luke, Jam. Remember them?” “Wwwhy, is there something wrong?” His mother asked. He knew it, his mother will have strange feelings on it. “Oh no..no Mom, we will just have short conversations..catching up on those missing times, you know..don’t worry Mom I’ll be home right on time.” Teo added. His mom just gave him that worried look and said, “Just please be safe son.” “He’ll be okay dear, our boy is a responsible and fine young man.” “Good karma will always be with him.” His father stated as he calmed his wife’s worries.

As he rode his motorcycle given by his father on his graduation, on the way to their meeting place, Teo can’t believe that old fears were happening again. But still he wasn’t sure about that, he was still hoping that what happened to his father was just a plain accident, but how could he explain the voice that he heard again in his head. His friends had to know, he had to warn them. As he approached Sam’s Resto, he saw all of them waiting for him intensely. They were so excited seeing him again but also worried what came up as what he told Luke and Jam on the phone. Being seated outside of the Resto , Jam, Luke, Johnny, Nate and Solenn approached him and greeted their friend. Teo hugged them one by one and by the look in his eyes, Jam and Luke saw the fear and anxiousness they saw during their scuffle into the forest. “It came back.. I knew it did.” Luke stated as he felt Teo’s worries and disarray. “I can’t say that it did..for now.. but I am starting to hear voices again.” He said. He told them what happened to his father and everybody religiously listened. “Hey, cheer up, we have each other, we had conquered them before, we can do it again.” Jam told him. “What shall we do now?” Solenn asked. “For the meantime all we can do is to be cautious of everything around us.” Johnny suggested. “Now that they’d entered into the lives of our loved ones we should have to take extra precautions.” Nate added. “But I still hope and pray that those were only coincidences and those voices were just imaginations.” Teo said consoling himself. “We also hope so.” Solenn replied. As they entered the resto and find seats for themselves, they were trying to ease each other’s fear and took some time to turn the topic somewhere else. The walls and windows of that resto are full of glasses and they can see through outside and vice versa. The place was so peaceful and conducive to travelers who wanted some food to eat and gas for their vehicles because there was a gas station beside it. They had no idea what’s gonna happen next as they were eating and chatting inside the resto. There was an old lady behind the trees outside the place just few steps away that kept on observing their every move. Nobody had seen her except Johnny who happened to turn his head around while enjoying the company of his friends.”Somebody’s might be watching us from afar..look.” He told his friends. As they slowly standing up from where they were seated to see, a sudden blast was felt from the outside. It broke the glass walls and doors of the place. All the people from that resto rushed outside and looked for a secure place to protect themselves as they were trying to know where that blast came from. Those greatly affected were vehicles, including Teo's motorcycle, things and those people outside the resto who were just trying to cross the street, took a rest at the nearby seats shielded by trees and those who made a stopover to have some gas. A great chaos surrounded the place and deaths again flaunted all over. A dejavu was being slapped to their faces and they can’t even imagine how almost same incidents took place where same friends experienced the odds. Teo was so frightened but tried his best to help. He and his friends were safe and now they were trying to save people. Some lost their legs and arms, some blinded their eyes, some got only minor injuries and some.. dead. Johnny whispered to Teo and asked, “Was that old lady I saw behind the trees had something to do with this?” “Maybe, I don’t know.. that’s what we’re going to see in the next few days.” Police cars came rushing through and ambulances on their tails. As policemen were rushing out of their police cars, Teo just can’t believe who he saw with the police. It was his mom came running to him and crying “I brought your dad this morning in the hospital and I didn’t know what to do.” “He kept on saying he had seen someone in the house but I didn’t believe at first. I haven’t seen it, but a strong wind blew inside our house and he fainted and I have to call an ambulance.” “Then I heard somebody calling your name.. whispering..” His mom told. “Where’s dad ..in the hospital?” Teo asked. “Minutes later a staff from the hospital called me saying your dad took off or somebody took him off.. I’m so afraid Teo, what shall we do now? His mom cried. Teo got anxious and devastated, he just looked at his friends as though saying.. here we go again. As he turned around he can’t even look at what he’s seeing and now it’s his father needing his help. Another quest was about to take place and he was so confused where to start to look for his father and who took him .

First it was Drake, now it’s his father, the one who gave life to him and nurtured him until he became a man that he is now. Once again they were all filled with fear .. but it’s his father they’re talking about. He’s not gonna stop until his last breath just to find him. Even if it means coming back to the woods, face new beginnings.. where everything started.
