Chapter Two: The Contract

At exactly eight forty-seven on a sunny morning, Elara’s phone rang with an unknown caller.

“Miss Vance?”

“This is Adrian, Mr. Valerius’s secretary.”

“You are to meet Mr. Valerius at the Civic affair bureau by ten to check the contract and complete the marriage process.”

Elara’s stomach tightened.

“Okay, I will be there.”

Elara arrived so quickly that she couldn’t believe she had ever been that early in her entire twenty-four years of life.

She called the secretary.

“Hello, Mr. Adrian. I’m outside the Civic affair bureau.

“I see , come to the black rolls royce. Mr. Valerius is waiting.

Elara walked toward the private room.

“Hello, Mr. Valerius.”

“Adrian ”

“Yes, sir. The contract.”

“Here. This is the contract. If you are willing to abide by it, sign it, and the money will be transferred. Then we will proceed with the marriage.”

Kaelen said, "Elera quickly took the papers in his hand.”she scanned the paper right away to the page where the amount of money was indicated but to her surprise,there was no amount written in the contract.

As you can see , the money depends on what you asked for the limit of money you wanted depends on you ,kaelen said with a straight face looking strict and firm.

Elara couldn't believe it but she has no more time to waste.she was ready for whatever that lies ahead.she was shocked at how absurd this kind of offer was she won't hesitate anymore she didn't even have enough time to read what the conditions were

“I’m signing it now.”

“Huh? You haven’t even read it.”

“It’s fine. I will read it later.

“I really need the money. Pen, please.”

Kaelen stared at her.

His straight face frowned in disbelief.

He couldn’t even see any hesitation on this weak-looking girl’s face. Her eyes were filled with nothing but determination. She looked like she was determined to fight even if the cost will be hell.

“This isn’t a plaything. I’m warning you,” he said as he handed her the pen.

Kaelen grew obviously hesitant while lending her the pen.

But Elara quickly took the pen from his hand.

She laid the paper flat on her lap.

Then, under the broad daylight, in a car, she signed the contract with her heart and soul burning like fire.

The moment she raised her head, giving the paper back to the man, A mysterious smile appeared on her lips.

It was a smile mixed with emotions ,joy and relief merged as one inside her chest.

She knew that after this one short moment, her life would never be the same again.

The couple’s wedding procedures were processed quickly. In just half an hour, Elera held the marriage certificate in her hands. From now on, she was a married woman.

Miss Vance, I will like to tell you about the contract you did not read.

Firstly, unless you have no choice, do not reveal our relationship. Secondly, do not interfere in my personal matters. Do not worry, since we are married, I will not get overly close to another Woman."

"The same applies to you". And if you do You are to pay twice the money received throughout the time of the marriage.

And, Kaelen gave a slight smirk. A dangerous aura swept through the car, "I promise you will not restrict your movement.., after I give you some time to tidy up your things, My secretary has already transferred 50 million to your account for you ,if it's not enough you contact him .

"Thank you!" Elera nodded.

"Also...I don’t believe a married couple should live separately! I’ll give you three days to pack all your belongings and move to a place of my choice. My assistant will be in touch with you."

Elera had no objections. Since they were now married, a request like this was reasonable. So she obediently nodded her head as she replied, "I agree!"

"Good!"

After the verbal agreements, Elera got out of kaelen's car and left. Kaelen assistant sat himself in the driver’s seat and looked at Kaelen through the rearview mirror, "Sir, shall we return to the office? Or would you like to return to the mansion to tell the chairman the news?"

"Follow Elare , assist her with what she is going to do and report her every move to me!" Kaelen ordered before stepping out of the car.

After she signed the contract, When Elera got to the hospital she was Surprised to discover every medical bill has been paid.Elera herself was stunned at how fast things went through. Her Father was Already transferred to the hospital's most expensive hospital Room; he was treated as if he was the chairman of the country's richest family. His room didn't even look like a hospital, rather, it looked like a presidential suit. Elera only asked them to save him, she didn't ask them to treat him like a prince but she couldn't say a word.

5 days passed and Elera was now inside a luxurious car heading towards a place she doesn't even know, when Adrian handed her a File, it was the contract she signed days ago that she hasn't even read yet. So Elera did the reading. She went straight to the front then read the whole contract . The contract doesn't look like a joke at all, but she was smiling. The appearance almost look like it was some sort of a government confidential file. The only thing weird was that, the content literally felt like a joke to her.

The contract stated that she will be heading to her husband's mansion five days after her contract signing. She will become a wife and she will bear a child.she will not have an intimate relationship with any man and like wise kaelen will not to any woman.Don't meddle too much,The most important note in the last page also stated that if she broke any of those rules stated, it will cost her; contract termination and jail or her life.

In All Of it Her Father was now safe that was all that matters. He was now recovering in the hospital when she left him.Elera broke down in tears when the doctors assured her that he was now stable and safe. She felt like a huge thorn stabbed on her chest were painfully pulled out and made her breath again.
