The tension in the air was thick as we rode the elevator up to the penthouse. After a night of affection, we were on opposite sides of the elevator. Not out of anger, but out of something else that was crawling and swirling around us. Something strong. A force that was pulling us closer together, and if we collided, the explosion would be earth shattering.
