MINA HALF-HEARTEDLY kicked the practice dummy in front of her. After leaving Cam in Brett's care, she'd returned to the Sanctuary to arm up. Unsure how to go about bargaining for the life of her friend, she'd hung around, hoping being around the others, hearing their plans to find Jack, would spark some idea. But when she got home, it was still light out and the building was quiet as the grave, the others asleep, recharging from a fruitless night of searching for Jack. Without direction, she'd turned to meditation through physical activity, and had come down to the basement to practice and vent her frustration on the dummy.
