MINA STEPPED INTO THE hush of the Sanctuary, shaking droplets of melting snow from her hair. In the end, she'd dropped Nicole at her own place before coming home. Home. She stood in the entryway, looking through the arch into the Sanctuary proper. The light from the sconces cast a warm glow into the room, almost like candlelight. Plenty bright enough for a vampire. Tana and Simon were sparring, bare knuckles, smiles on their faces as they flowed through capoeira-like movements. Off to the side Sha and Adeh played a video game, watched by Ivan, Finn and Sam.
