Alex POV
“Oh yeah, Alex.” She said while I had her bent over my office desk. “Just like that, please… Aleeex” My d**k thrusting hard in and out of her. My little toy of the week, Tracy… or Dixie… I can’t really remember now. All I know is she was letting me f**k her hard while I let all my frustrations out on her. Suddenly, a mind link from Danilo, my Beta interrupts my dirty thoughts of what I will do next to my little toy.
‘Rogues’ He says. I quickly push the she-wolf off me, fix my clothes and start to head out of my office.
“Please Alex, where are you going? We were having so much fun together” Her overly squeaky voice asks. Goddess this chick’s voice is annoying, but she’s a good lay, as long as she doesn’t talk. Kristof, my wolf is pissed in my head. He hates that I sleep around. I really don’t care. I just cut him off for a while to satiate my needs. He yells at me some when I let him back, but there's nothing he can do. I have told him a million times we don’t need a mate.
“Gotta go, fix yourself up and let yourself out.” I walk out not even looking back at her. I can feel her being pissed behind the door, but frankly I don’t give a damn.
I am the soon to be Alpha of the Lunar Eclipse Pack. My dad is planning to name me Alpha the moment I choose a mate. I’m like him; he never truly believed in the mate bond as he thinks it makes wolves weaker. He took over this pack by challenging the previous Alpha, I guess the previous Alpha lost his fated mate during a rogue attack and was made weaker. It was easy for my dad to overpower him and take his pack. My dad found his fated mate, my mom, and she too was murdered by a rogue in the gardens. I guess another she-wolf hired the rogue to kill her because dad did not chose her as his chosen mate. Since then, my dad has only talked about how awful the mate bond truly is, it is not a blessing, but a curse, he says. Even though he lost his mate no one could challenge him, our lineage has proven to have more than normal Alpha abilities.
My dad was known amongst all the packs as the most ruthless back when he started as Alpha. Mom’s death just made things worse and he went on a killing spree claiming packs and territories for his own, all done legally of course. Nowadays, just out of fear other Alphas just give him what he wants. So, like him, I chose not to have a mate, hell I don’t even want a chosen mate. I rather have as many she-wolfs as I want, not being able to feel anything for anyone is much better than being weak. I guess I am starting to convince my dad, or he has run out of unmated suitable options for me, since he has stopped bugging me as much, and has begun planning to step down after he comes back from him trip. He’s been gone for about a month and will be back in a few more weeks. He left in effort to obtain “more allies”, I know he will just forcely make them submit. Sometimes I wonder if that’s how I want to rule, out of fear. I know people can betray you easily if you don’t impart as much fear, so I would have to be as much of an asshole as my father is, but I am not sure I can.
“Took you long enough” Danilo’s snarks at me. I just roll my eyes. He is my Beta, one of my oldest and best friends, along with Scott, my Gamma. They are the only ones I allow to talk to me that way.
“Alex, they came from multiple directions.” Danilo explains. A scent around the back of the pack house caught my attention.
“Split into teams, mindlink if you find anything. I will follow this scent.” I said pointing in the direction of the scent that caught my attention. It smells like a rogue, but it is mixed with something else… wolfsbane? I go with my team around the pack house and see my dad’s office window open. The scent comes from there. I mindlink the warriors to check the office in case he is still there, but they found nothing, and nothing is out of place. What is even more strange is the scent is in his office only, nowhere else in the packhouse. ‘Hmm, how did he manage to get all the way up and down from there without being noticed.’ I say to Kristof. My dad’s office and mine are both on the sixth floor.
I quickly undress behind a tree and shift into Kristof. Some of the warriors on my team do the same, and some others follow on pickup trucks, in case we go too far. I am not concerned as I am the fastest in the Pack, I know I will for sure catch him before he gets too far. Being the Alpha has its perks. I am stronger, faster and my senses are more acute. Betas and Gammas are also faster and stronger than the regular werewolves, but fall short of the Alpha’s abilities. My werewolf abilities are also stronger because I come from an old lineage of wolves, or at least that is what my dad told me. I continue to run for another 15 minutes picking up the rogue’s scent. ‘Who is this guy?’ Kristof asks in my head, ‘we should have caught him by now’
‘You are right’ I said. ‘I’m beginning to think this is not just a rogue. He seemed to know the layout of the pack house too’. I said with concern. ‘Hmm, there has not been a rogue attack since that day’. Kristof said, my heart aches remembering how I never even got to meet my mom, thanks to filthy rogues. I need to catch this guy and tear his limbs off one by one. We begin to speed up. I can feel Kristof ready to tear something apart. Suddenly I feel a sense of calm wash over me, but Kristof starts to run even faster now. His anger is replaced with…want? I start to notice a flowery smell, smells… hmmm… ‘amazing’ Kristof finishes the sentence for me.
Fuck, now I forgot why I am even here. The rogue, yes that’s right. The two scents are getting stronger and stronger. We see a clearing in the forest coming up. The scents must be coming from there. As we reach the clearing we see the most stunning scenery we have ever seen…A gorgeous brunette, her hair blowing off to the side with the wind, with beautiful brown eyes that look silver with the light. She is a small shapely figure in comparison with the evergreens and aspen trees around her, she is maybe 5’2”. She is getting up from a squatting position looking startled over to me… or rather Kristof. ‘Mate’ I hear in my head. f**k! I try to take control over Kristof and leave her there, but he does not let me.
I then notice she does not have a pack scent but she does carry the smell of humans. ‘Did she live with the humans? Is she a rogue?’ I ask Kristof. ‘Mate does not smell like a rogue’ Kristof answers back. Kristof continues to walk towards her. ‘STOP!’ I tell him before it’s too late and we accept her as a mate. Well s**t! Now I am cursing for something completely different. She just slipped off the rock and started rolling down hitting everything on her path. The rock was a good 15 ft above the lake.
