ELSIE
As the line went dead, I saw Sebastian, my father's right-hand man, walk into the room. He was a tall, imposing figure with a cold, calculating gaze.
"Ah, Elsie," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I see you're still as feisty as ever."
I spat at his feet. "You're a traitor, Sebastian. You're going to pay for what you've done."
Sebastian chuckled. "Pay? Ha! I'm the one who's going to be rewarded. You see, Elsie, your father's death was just the beginning. And you, my dear, are the key to it all."
I struggled against my restraints, but they were too tight. "What are you talking about?"
Sebastian smiled. "Oh, I think you know. You're a smart girl, Elsie. You know exactly what I'm talking about."
He walked closer, his eyes glinting with triumph. "You see, your father was getting in the way. He was going to expose us, to bring us down. But I stopped him. And now, I'm going to use you to finish what I started."
I felt a chill run down my spine. What did he mean? What did he plan to do with me?
Sebastian leaned in, his breath cold against my ear. "You're going to help me take down Ethan Denison. And once he's out of the way, I'll be the one in control."
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog. Ethan? What did he have to do with anything?
But before I could ask any questions, Sebastian turned and walked away, leaving me alone in the darkness.
Few hours later I saw Sebastian coming close to me with something on his hand I couldn’t see what he is holding cause the room was very dark as Sebastian's hands reached for me, I heard the sound of gunfire and shouting outside the warehouse. Ethan and his men had arrived!
Sebastian's eyes flicked towards the door, a look of annoyance on his face. "Take care of her," he snapped to one of his men, before turning to leave.
But it was too late. The door burst open and Ethan strode in, his gun raised. "Let her go," he growled, his eyes locked on Sebastian.
Sebastian sneered, but he knew he was outnumbered. He raised his hands, and his men followed suit.
Ethan's eyes never left Sebastian as he moved towards me. "Elsie, are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.
I nodded, still trying to process what was happening.
Ethan quickly freed me from my restraints, and I collapsed into his arms. "I've got you," he whispered. "You're safe now."
As we watched, Sebastian and his men were rounded up and taken away. Ethan's men were in control, and I was finally safe.
But as I looked up at Ethan, I saw the concern etched on his face. "What is it?" I asked.
"It's not over yet," he said. "We still have to take down the rest of the organization. But we'll do it together, okay?"
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. We would see this through, together.
