ELSIE I tried to process what was happening as the man grabbed me and dragged me into the car. I kicked and screamed, but he was too strong. He tossed me into the backseat and sped off before I could even react. I was trapped. Panic set in as I realized I was completely at his mercy. The man didn't say a word as he drove, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. I tried to think of a plan, but my mind was a blank. After what felt like an eternity, the car pulled up to a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of town. The man dragged me out of the car and into the building. I was thrown into a dimly lit room, the door slamming shut behind me. I heard the sound of locks clicking into place. I was alone, but I knew I wouldn't be for long. Suddenly, the door opened and a figure emerged from the shadows. It was the man who had threatened me before, the one who had been following me. "Welcome, Elsie," he sneered. "You're going to be our guest for a while." I tried to stand tall, but my legs were shaking. "What do you want from me?" The man smiled. "Oh, we want a lot from you. But first, we need to make sure you understand the situation." He snapped his fingers, and another man emerged from the shadows. He was holding a phone. "Call Ethan," the first man said. "Tell him we have Elsie. And if he wants to see her again, he'll do exactly as we say." My heart sank as the man dialed the number. I knew I was in grave danger. ELTHAN I heard my phone vibrating on my breast pocket, Strange number I wonder who is calling i answered the phone, expecting it to be one of my men with an update on the investigation. But instead, I heard Elsie's voice, trembling with fear. "Ethan, they have me," she said, her words rushed. "They're going to hurt me if you don't do what they say." My heart stopped. Who had her? And what did they want from me? I tried to remain calm, to think clearly. "Elsie, I'm going to get you out of there. Just hang in there, okay?" But before I could say anything else, the line went dead. I was left standing there, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Who had taken Elsie? And what did they want from me? I immediately sprang into action, calling my men and mobilizing a rescue team. We had to move fast, before it was too late. As I waited for my team to assemble, I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled in my stomach. What if we were too late? What if they hurt Elsie? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand. We would get Elsie back, no matter what it took. But as I looked around at my men, I knew that this was more than just a rescue mission. This was personal. They had taken the one person I cared about, and they were going to pay for it.
