Chapter 14 The phone rang just as Marie stepped out of the shower. She wrapped a towel around her and picked the phone up. The call was from Chris. “What’s so important you have to get me out of the shower?” Marie growled. “I’m sorry,” Chris replied. “I never know when you’re going to take your yearly shower. Isn’t this too early in the year?” “Nope. Right around Labor Day.” Chris laughed. “How’s it going?” “We open in two weeks.” “I know.
