"What do you mean by 'OURS?'" Maxwell asked in a hushed tone. Both brothers looked at each other then answered, "Mother blessed both of us with one mate, Jasmine..." Damien started. "We both found her when we were eight and when it was time to have her as ours we had to leave her." Dominic continued in his naturally quiet voice. "She was thirteen when we had to leave. When we first shifted everything just went crazy," the other ended lost in the memories of leaving their home. "You two met the girl of your dreams at eight, at sixteen when you first shifted you became the next Royal Deltas in which you had to leave her behind?" Racon confirmed with them. "Did we mention that she doesn't know we are her mates and she doesn't know about us being the future queen's deltas. Oh and we didn't get to give her a proper goodbye." Damien summed up everything on his fingers, with every word it made his and his brother's heart heavier. It was a lot to get sorted out between the three of them. Jasmine was a pretty stubborn girl, so to get her to forgive them would be hard. The next step is to have her love them without the knowledge of the bond. It has to be on her own free will. "I must say that it was both lucky and unlucky predicaments you two faced. The question is how are you going to do it all?" Maxwell asked. Dominic leaned against the wall shaking his head all he can see was her blue eyes filled with tears. He always hated it when she cried it weakened him to the core. Damien wanted to go back in and comfort her but he knew somehow that it would push her away by his abrupt declaration of love. After a moment of silence, Racon and Maxwell stepped closer to them. "We will help. I'm sure the others will help too. After all, you two are our bosses, we want to see our bosses happy." Maxwell said with a grin. The twins looked at them in disbelief and did the most unexpected show of emotion in all the years the men knew them. They hugged them gratefully and thanked them for their loyalty. In the midst of their small talk the door opened, Emmaline and Chris came out talking to each other animatedly. They stood at attention waiting for her next order, "Since Jasmine is occupied with work, Chris is going to accompany me to show me the tourist sites, and some need to know spots. I think two cars would suffice the trip." she said with a small smile.  "Yes ma'am. Unfortunately, the Carmonas won't be joining us on this trip. Security measures to be taken but Miss Kaiser's men volunteered to help out." Racon said with the most serious expression he can muster. "Oh. Very well. We would back later this afternoon, yes?" Emmaline asked Chris. "Who knows. It's London darling" the redhead said in a fake snooty British accent. Chuckling at her new friend's silliness she allowed her to pull her along the hall to go start their day. 'Good Luck, sirs.' the men said to them over their link following the girls. 'Much appreciated.' Dominic relayed to them turning to the door that separated him from his mate. "Slow. That's how we have to work." he told his twin. "Friends then up" Damien mumbled bouncing on his toes. Their wolves were on edge they were ready to see her again, be cocooned in her scent, witness the gorgeous smiles their humans told them about. They were ready for her. Taking a deep breath they both opened the double doors slowly, their steps faltered when her sobs reached their ears. She was behind her desk with headphones on, from what they can tell she was drawing but couldn't seem to get it right. She kept redoing it over and over, her cries became louder, they couldn't take it anymore. "Jazzy." "Jazzy" Damien called out for a second time rushing towards her. He took off her headphones spinning her around in her chair, she didn't look up, she couldn't. She couldn't face them. "Please. Just leave me alone." she cried. Damien stumbled backward falling to his knees, "No. Not again." Dominic came forward and knelt beside his brother. " Do you remember the story of the twin executioners?" he asked softly. She nodded her head yes, wiping away her tears. Jasmine faced the two boys who clouded her dreams for the past six years, she was mad at them for not trusting her with what was going on. She was angry that they simply let her go. "Their wolves were gifted to us by the Goddess. She did it because of Emmaline. Things are still unsettled in the supernatural world. No matter how peaceful things seem among us there is always a threat. If word got out that twin wolves have surfaced after so many years bounties would be put on our heads...." Damien continued. "We had to leave firefly. Our family. You. The pack would be put in danger. King Nikolai sent for us immediately. We tried to stall our leaving but your father said your flight was delayed by a rain storm in Italy. We just wanted to see you one last time but we couldn't wait any longer. We were in the sentinel training camp since then. We are said to higher than them all but...." Dominic worded everything with a heavy heart, he continuously kept swallowing the lump in his throat just to be heard. "It doesn't matter." Damien finished. "Being named the executioners and the next Royal Deltas doesn't mean a thing to us." "Why.. Why not?" she asked joining them on the floor, they both held each of her hands. Their wolves and themselves calmed instantly feeling the electrifying tingles surge through their bodies. They wanted to tell her, tell the world that she was theirs but it was too soon. "Because without you....." "Nothing is worth it." She sat back on her legs in shock by their confession. Was their friendship so important to them? "Please forgive us." Damien whispered. She missed them both, her best friends but she couldn't shake the feeling that their relationship of being friends would be different. "It wasn't your fault. You didn't choose to be the next Royal Deltas. I was mad that you two didn't trust me, that you just left. We did everything together. I hated school after you guys. It turns out your presence was always needed. I was under some protection by you guys. The Carmona twins." she said bitterly while pulling her hands away. The first three years of high school without them was miserable, apparently being the Alpha's daughter didn't mean a thing. She was human in a wolf school and the typical queen bee had a hand over all of them. They respected the twins even fawned over them but hated the fact that they placed all their attention on her.  "Firefly what do you mean?" Dominic asked sternly gone was his calm demeanor now was the Dominic that everyone feared. "Just high school stuff. Being the weak link. I handled it. I left." she said coldly leaving their sides completely. "They bullied you?" "So you left your family?" She hated whenever they finished each other's sentences. "I saw a way out. You weren't there. As they said I was just someone you two babysat. My art was my escape and I took it. It's all in the past now. I've made a name for myself now I'm in college. Everything is fine." she said turning her back towards them. The twins looked at each other, guilt in their faces. They have sheltered her since she came to Black Heart but didn't think their absence would be so much of a toll on her. "Look can you two just leave. I forgive you alright. I'm fine. See. Same old Jasmine."  They watched as she blatantly ignored them and went back to her work. Damien made a step towards her but she stopped him with one statement. "Don't do it."  It was out of habit that he comforted her whenever she was sad or scared but now he was lost as to what to do. "So be it. You want to be left alone. Fine. Have a good day. Your Majesty." Dominic spat before turning sharply on his heel leaving her room with the slam of the door.   Damien watched at the closed door feeling the quiet anger his brother channeled across to him, it was only a matter of time before he explode. "Every day we kept you in our hearts. Remembering your smile. Your laugh. How happy you made us feel. Do you know how much we care about you? Don't you think we wanted to be by your side? Did you know he tried to get back to Black Heart to see you? On your fourteenth birthday but he was stopped.  I too tried a few months later but failed. We couldn't have any contact with the outside world. Our parents were notified by monthly letters and calls. We are sorry that things didn't work out as smooth as we thought but don't you dare take out your anger for some spoiled b***h on us. " he said trying to hold back his anger not wanting to lash out on her. Damien stepped away from his mate taking note of how stiff her posture was, he waited for her to turn around and say something but nothing. "Have a pleasant day Princess Jasmine" he said in his cold tone and took his leave. She inwardly flinched at how distant his words were and how lonely she was yet again.  This time it was her fault.
