“I've been looking at this for fifty years and I still can't get used to it.
Every time is like the first. It may seem strange and improper, but I feel alive here. Myself. The sea reminds me that for all my power, I am as mortal as anyone else, while the elements are truly immortal. We will leave, and the waves will continue to crash against these rocks. And the rocks themselves will not disappear, even if they are submerged.”
He listened to me in silence and nodded at the end, still staring at the vastness of the sea.
“I've never seen anything like this in my life,” he informed me, something I already knew.
“And you won't!” I said proudly. “It's only here!”
