Dealing with a devil

Ricardo Pereira held the Oraha at gunpoint back to his room. When they were safely back to the room He ordered the Oraha to sit down.

"Why Ricardo? Why would you do this? Why would you betray the very people who took you in and gave their lives for you? The Oraha asked with a very disappointed look on his face.

Ricardo let out a wry smile and said. "You speak as if these people were there from my childhood! Where were they, when I was on the streets of Spain? Where were they when I was dodging bullets during fights between the two leagues?"

"I remember discovering my powers and having no one to guide me... I suffered for years!"

"As you know I am not the strongest but I had to make myself the smartest and this my dear Oraha is my way of surviving!"

" I need to use my head to stay alive..." Ricardo Pereira concluded.

" So what would you do to me now? The Oraha asked.

"Are you going to kill me or what?

" Definitely not, I am not going to kill you. Rather, you are going to do something for me in return for sparing your life!"

The Oraha laughed hysterically.

"You spare my life? It's better you shoot me in the head now that I don't have any powers anymore, because the moment I regain them, your doorstep would be my first point of call, and I'm definitely not helping you carry out any sinister plan you have in your head!" The Oraha said.

" Oh yes, you are going to help me!" Ricardo Pereira said confidently.

"You're going to do more than I even ask you to do or else I will strike you where it hurts L will strike on the spot where you think you are heavily guarded".

"That secret that you have kept for so long! And no one has an idea about. I will expose it to the whole world".

"And you know once I do that, he will become an easy target for your multiple enemies"

"So you see my dear Oraha, I would not even get my hands stained with blood, but I can still destroy your world!"

The Oraha knew exactly what he was talking about. It was a secret he had kept for well over two decades.

"How did this young man get to know about this? Or is he bluffing?" The Oraha argued within himself.

"You're bluffing!" The Oraha retorted at Ricardo.

"You're deliberately beating about the bush, trying to draw out words from my mouth. And let me tell you, my boy, it will take more than empty threats to get me scared". The Oraha screamed at him.

"Then I have no need of you..." Ricardo Pereira said.

He c****d the gun and pointed it in the direction of the Oraha, pretending to want to shoot him.

Just as Ricardo Pereira was about to pull the trigger, the door was flung wide open and Jose Reyna charged in alongside Susan and other agents of the HigaSuki.

Susan had two pistols in her hands and she pointed them directly at Ricardo Pereira, while Jose Reina had his swords ready for battle.

"How nice of you guys to join the party! Ricardo Pereira said calmly.

"I knew you wouldn't let your Bernardo have all the fun by himself". Ricardo said looking at Jose Reyna.

Jose Reyna was lost as to how this strange young man knew him and the Oraha was shocked that he knew his real name.

At this point, Ricardo Pereira had gone to meet the Oraha, picked him up, and held him at gunpoint.

"Oh Yes! Bernardo. That's your name right?" Ricardo whispered in The Orahas' ears.

"This is nothing, compared to what I know about you and your family".

"What family? The Oraha asked. "Everyone knows that I do not have children, talkless of having a family!"

"Is that the lie you tell everyone?" Ricardo asked

"Surely not to you Jose. I know you know the truth and you're covering up for your friend. Isn't it? Ricardo asked.

"Who are you? And how do you know my name? Jose Reyna asked.

"Jose, meet the famous Ricardo Pereira Susan mockingly announced.

"Ricardo, drop the gun!" Susan ordered.

"No! No!! No!!! My dear... That's not how it is supposed to be! Ricardo replied. "You lovely people came to my party, and I'm supposed to host you and entertain you. So refrain from stressing yourself by giving orders".

"I suggest you drop your weapons right now!" Ricardo Pereira screamed at them.

Susan and Jose Reyna ignored the instruction.

"I said drop them right now!" He screamed even harder as he pressed the gun into The Orahas skull.

"I'm the DJ at this party and I feel like making music, starting with Bernados brains!"

"Do as he says". The Oraha said.

Susan reluctantly put down her pistols as well as Jose Reina and the other agent dropped their weapons.

"That's more like it!" Ricardo Pereira said. "Now kick them this way". Ricardo said.

They all obeyed his order and kicked all their weapons in his direction.

"Lovely!" He exclaimed. Don't you just love it when human beings work together effectively? Rather than fighting like barbaric animals!" Ricardo mockingly said.

" I'm glad you brought up the issue of barbaric animals". Susan replied to him. "Because even dogs are more loyal than some people I know!" She said referring to Ricardo Pereira.

" I am going to let that slide because I understand how painful my actions must have been, but don't test my patience!" Ricardo said to Susan.

"So, what do you want? The Oraha screamed, while still at gunpoint.

"Oh! Dear Bernardo... I knew you would come around soon". Ricardo said in his ears.

"You are not seriously thinking of negotiating with this man Jose Reyna said on hearing the Orahas question.

" He's not thinking about it, Jose. He has decided on it, and he will do whatever I say!" Ricardo said with a wicked smile on his face.

"So what are your demands?" Susan Boyle blurted out. "Please speak and stop wasting our time!"

Antonio opened his eyes only to find himself trapped in a very dark room with dim lights and exposed wires sparking all over.

He looked around to see if there was anyone in the room with him but there was no one.

The room had no windows, no ventilation, and was nothing like any of the rooms that he was in before his attempted escape.

A feeling of sadness and disappointment overwhelmed him. He tried to move but the sharp pain on his abdomen restricted him from moving, also his hands and legs had been strapped to the chair.

He could hear noises from outside the room, signaling that there were people around but why did they bring him here? He thought to himself.

Suddenly the door swung open and it was the worst person he could ever imagine walking at that moment.

Sergio Angel walked into the room, surprisingly wearing lab coats and synthetic gloves. And a wide smile on his face.

"Good day Mr. Castillo. How are you feeling today?

"I will be your Doctor from today henceforth". He announced.

"We took the liberty of helping you dress the wound on your stomach, which happened due to the unfortunate incident that happened yesterday."

"You were very lucky that the branch did not hit any vital organs. I have always known you to be a lucky man so that doesn't surprise me."

" That being said, I must state that I was highly disappointed by the events of yesterday. I thought we were building chemistry and trust between us and that we were making progress".

So hearing that you attempted and escape yesterday really broke my heart!" Sergio Angel mocked while gesticulating by placing his hands on his chest.

"You didn't think you could run for me right?" Sergio angel asked him.

Antonio was suffering in pain, it seemed they didn't give him any painkillers, so didn't bother to reply to any of Sergio Angel's questions.

Next, Sergio Angel walked up to the spot where Antonio De Castillo was seated. He placed both hands on the chair, leaning on the chair so he could look Antonio square in the eyes.

Then he said... "You can never run from me! I will extract the information I want from you, whether it means opening up this thick skull of yours and picking your brains apart. And I mean literally!"

" You will give me what I want, and when I am done getting what I want from you, I will KILL YOU!"

"Antonio try to plead with him, but as he attempted to open his mouth he realise that his lips had been sealed!"

He began to shake vigorously on the chair trying to get Sergio Angel to listen to him.

"There is no need to struggle". Sergio Angel said.

"We have all day to ourselves, and do not think that I will take it easy on you as the other Doctors do".

"I am not a doctor, I am a Watchman and all I know is how to get things done, so we are going to take this up a few notches. Maybe that would speed things up and rejig your brain faster!"

"So it's either you give me what I want or you die!" Sergio Angel said with a furious expression on his face.

Sergio Angel switched on the machine and the whirling sound began. He then went towards the voltage regulator which according to Antonio's memory, had been set on a constant point by the other Doctor. He turned it and increased it almost three times more than it had been before to the point that Antonio could hear the electric buses from the terminals as they came close to his head.

Sergio Angel walked back to the computer and turned towards Antonio De Castillo with a smile and asked. "You ready Antonio?"

Antonio tightened his muscles in anticipation of the torture that was to come as the whirling became louder and the electric buses came closer to his ears.

Then Sergio Angel presses the button!

Antonio woke up suddenly to find himself on a bed in a wooden Cottage.

It was just a dream!
