The time to go home came by faster than I thought it would. I was standing by the door with Bri, saying goodbye to Mum.
"I'll text you when we stop to fill up or when we get home, okay?" I tell Mum. She smiles and nods, giving me another hug. "Alright. You two be safe now, you hear?"
Bri gives her a hug and we both make our way to my car. We send one last wave and then pile in. My car starts on the second try and as I pull onto the street, Bri reaches back and rummages through her bag.
"What, did your phone die already?" I ask, chuckling.
Bri rolls her eyes and pulls out her charger. "Very funny. No, my phone isn't dead but I'd like for it to not die as we listen to my badass playlist."
We both laugh and she plugs her phone into the USB port on the radio and soon, her 'badass' play
