Hanson grabbed Hannah on the arm when she went to run after Justice. ‘Jackson said to get you to safety, so that’s what I’m going to do, whether you like it or not.’
‘Like hell you are. I am not running away and hiding from Major Templeton. If he wants me, he can come and get me,’ she said, fire in her hazel gaze as she wrenched her arm free and stood in front of him, hands on her hips.
Hanson threw his hands in the air, shaking his head. ‘Jackson is going to kill me.’ He stood aside and made no protest as Hannah left the lab, then spun on his heel and followed her into the hallway.
As they drew near the front door, he c****d his head to the side and tapped her on the shoulder. ‘Listen,’ he said.
Hannah stopped walking and shook her head. ‘I don’t hear anything.’
