I see how this is gonna go, Touch me and you'll never be alone. . . . Your pov : I was so exhausted. After Mr.Parker left yesterday. Oh... no.. that sounded so wrong. "(Y/n), are you still with me?" Mr.Martell asked, he is my history teacher, guess I zoned out. "Sorry..." I replied. "(Y/n), I know you can do my test like a piece of cake, but I need you to focus when I teach you. Let's talk after class." Not again. I sighed. Mr.Martell likes to bring me to his office and ramble things I've heard for a thousand times at me. I nodded, he continued his job, but before the bells rang, our senior walked in the room. "Excuse me, we'll having a school meeting." She told our teacher. "All of us?" He asked back. "Yes, students and teachers." A whole school meeting? That's weird. I put my pens in the bag, leave that old thing on the chair, headed out with my classmate. At least I don't have to go see Mr.Martell. "Hey! Quiet girl!" I almost fell aside as someone pushed me too hard, I then realized it was Jenna, grunge girl from another classroom, today her eyeshadow was as black as winter soldier when he was a bad guy. "Hey." "School's meeting, That's odd right?" She said, her hands still wrapped around my shoulder. If I remember right, Jenna just moved in our school a couple of mouths ago, she's a social butterfly, get along with every kind of students. I think she's cool. I can't figure out the reason she talks to me, we are way different from each other. But when there's a chance, she always hangs out with me. "Yeah..." Even with her I can't social god I don't know what to speak with a human. "Sit with my crew?" "What?" "Do you want to sit with my bitches?" She smirked. "Oh, it's okay, I'll find my own seat." I actually prefer being alone, to be honest, I love being alone sometimes. "No, c'mere." She dragged me all the way to her girls, they waved at me, very friendly. I didn't know what to do so I nodded. They shared me a chair, we sat in order, staring at our school's stage. A teacher walked up with a microphone, I think his name was Mr.Jefferson. "Alright, you all must be confused what's all this about. Let's start with..." I didn't catch his words, I didn't pay attention. I was thinking that even if I can give the money for Jason, how could I pay for mum. How should ideal with Charlene to day, she must be very pissed yesterday, it's not my fault he wanted to talk to me and not her. "Do you think he's going bald?" Jenna whispered. "Who?" "Mr.Jefferson on the stage, I think his head shines brighter than my future." We almost laughed, I kept it cool. "Oh, c'mon. That's not good to laugh at." "You did laugh." She teased. "Because of your sentence, not his hair." "Hey, do you have i********:?" "You change the subject so fast." "I just want to be friends. Do you?" Exciting, someone wanted to be friends with me, rare moments. I sighed. "My phone is Nokia 3310." "What? No s**t??" She was all surprised. "Yeah." I put my phone in her hands, she observed it as if it was an ancient treasure. "Oh my lord. Why?" "I only use them for calling." And I am poor as hell Jenna. "It still works?" "Yeah, it's better than iPhone. When you drop an iPhone, your screen crack when you drop Nokia 3310, the floor crack." She laughed again, a teacher nearby gave us a death glare, telling us to be quiet, she pointed at the stage. We kept it cool and watch Mr.Jefferson, everybody was clapping so I clapped along. A man walked onto the stage, and.... Holy s**t. Mr.Parker? . . . No one spoke, no one made any noises. He walked up there with his hair slicked back and his shirt unbuttoned. God, he was charming, very charming that no one dares to look away, including me. He looked so chill, confident and... rich. That watch on his hand reflected the lights on the ceiling, and his clothes were unbelievably neat. I don't understand, why is he here? "This is Peter Parker, the CEO of Parker industries, and the new owner and our main donator." Mr.Martell introduced him to us. Oh, that's right, I still can't believe he bought this place for my sake. Students clapped. I didn't even move until Jenna touched me and said. "Yo... He's handsome as hell." "Which is where he came from," I told her, still looking at Mr.Parker. "How did you know he's evil?" "Oh? I don't, how would a person like me know him, it just, he's quite intimidating isn't he?" "He's fine to me, I mean, look at that face." "So, why did you decide to support our school, sir?" Mr.Jefferson asked him. He stared coldly back, he didn't come here to answer anything, he doesn't have to say anything, but for the sake of being polite, he replied. "I have my own reason." Dear lord. He just looked at me. Of all thousand of students, he looked right to where I sat. As if he already knew I was there from the beginning. And of course, all, I repeat, all the person existed in the room traced Mr.Parker's eyesight and spotted me. I look around, seeing questions in their eyes. It became a very long heart-pounding moment in my life until Mr.Jefferson saved me. "Oh. We're still so glad you donated money and laboratory equipment for us, Mr.Parker. Now give us a big hand for the man who we should be grateful for!" While everyone was clapping, he smiled at me. "Let's not waste any of Mr.Parker's time. Thank you." Mr.Jefferson told him and he walked down the stage. Everyone was still looking at me and him, even worse when he jerked his head, telling me to follow him. "He knows you?" Jenna asked. "No, of course not, I mean, fine, he gave me the scholarship," I whispered at her. "I think that's why he bought the school." "Then follow him! He's handsome and rich! And now he wants you to meet him, you cannot let him go, understand?" "What? I--fine." I sighed, walking with my head down to the backstage. None of the teachers stopped me. He was there in the chair, speaking business through his phone, he noticed i actually came, told me to wait. "Yes. It's done, the sooner you transfer the money the sooner you get my weapons." He's so young, but he is very mature and complicated. One day I'll figure out what he's hiding behind those cold, brown eyes. He ended the call. "You can't to that, sir." I told him. "Do what?" "Glared at me in front of everyone, they'll misunderstanding that we know each other personally." "We Don't?" He smiled, teases me. He looked around, like everything he gazes at is his belongings, now those eyes gaze at me. "Why did you came here, sir?" I asked. "Visit my favorite student." Oh, don't do that to me. "You." He smiled a little. Lord save me. That smile was totally captivating. I look away even though that was the most beautiful thing I've seen in a while, I felt my cheeks burnt, am I sweating? I think I am. "You know you can trust me, right?" He asked. "About...?" I asked him back, voice as soft as his. "Everything. Whatever the hell you're going through." "I still..." "Don't ask the reasons. Just know that you're one my workers now, taking care of you is what I'm doing now, get it?" I nodded. He looked at me, complacent. Workers, that's right. What a fool was I to get myself convinced he felt something for me. "Study well, okay? Someone will pick you up and take you to the mall at 4." He told me, put his hands in his pants pocket. "Wait? The mall? Why?" "My workers have to look pretty." "Are you telling me I'm not pretty." "Darling. You are the most gorgeous person I've known." He simply said that, without knowing how my heart started blooming like roses. We went quiet for a little, I hoped he didn't notice my burning cheeks. "What I meant to say is, you are in need of better clothes, to fit in with my people, and better phone, so that I can contact you." How can he know what phone I'm using? Honestly, why does everyone care about my phone, it works just fine. "...I don't think I can afford any of the things that you said." "Of course I'll pay for it." I was about to tell him that I cannot just let him buy me stuff, but he knew, so he fixed his sentence. "The company will pay for it." "I hope I'm worth all this..." My voice was soft and sad for some reason. Mr.Parker gazed his fierce eyes into mine. He told me one thing that made everything felt easier like I'm not all alone with these problems around me. "You are. Miss (L/n.) ------------------------
