Last night you were in my room,
And now my bed sheets smell like you.
.
.
.
Is this a date?
I'm going to assume it is.
I was sitting next to him in his limousines, he looked outside the window, looking so relaxed even though he just lost like ten of his men.
"Are we going to be safe there?" I asked. "Last time I check your men got murdered and I almost died along with Jon."
"It was an unexpected attack."
"What if they unexpectedly attack us again?"
"But we expect them this time, I got my men inside already, almost everywhere, you'll be fine."
"Jon said something about the castle, you own a castle, sir?" King Peter, of house Parker.
He chuckled. Did he chuckle? Wow, that was so adorable. "I bought it for Pepper's birthday, but she cried because Tony already bought her castles, so I got to keep it."
A castle for a birthday.
No one even buys chicken nuggets for my birthday.
"Sir? Don't I have to be 18 at least to get in there?" I kept asking, hope he won't get annoyed.
"That's when my money steps in."
"Money is very useful." I love money.
"It can buy everything."
"Not happiness."
"Well, it sure ain't make you sad, right?"
I pouted because he had a point. "Well, they can't buy love."
"I think they can."
"They can buy lovers for a night but not love. Like you can't buy me to stay, I'm staying with you right now because I decided so."
"You know I'm not forcing you to stay, right? If you feel uncomfortable I can send you back." He looked very worried. Hey, don't get it all wrong.
"I'm under the target of your enemies and live without a vacation for years, las vegas is a good idea."
When was the last time I went on a trip? So many years ago, at some beach, with mum and Jason, not dad, it's not like I've seen his face.
We arrived, he got out of the car to open the door for me. Oh, damn, what a marvelous place.
These Vegas lights reflected with my eyes, shining up my very soul. Is this what it's like being near him, I don't even want to leave.
"So pretty..." I whispered.
"You're prettier." He simply told me, what a liar.
He grabbed me by the waist, we walking in to join the crowd. We walked further and he still holding onto me tight.
"Do you have any place you're interested to go to? Or you want me to choose?" He asked.
"How about just walking around?"
"It's up to you."
He was spoiling me so badly, he bought everything I stared at even though I did not want it. Everyone was staring at us, I understood, he is very famous himself.
We walked into a couple of girls, dressing sassy and heavy makeup. They approached closer, woah, they even grabbed me by my chin.
"Are you two couple looking for a companion for night?" She asked.
"We can do a threesome." Another one adds, wait, threesome? "Or four."
"Or a gang bang, we have so many friends." The one holding onto me smiled, okay, this is beyond my expectations.
"It's our first date girls, thank you," Mr.Parker told them with a smile. He smiled? I thought he'd be annoyed at them.
He escorted me away.
"What was all that about?" I asked him, I think he chuckled a bit.
"They, um, offered themselves for us. As allies in bed."
"You mean s*x with many people in it, I know what threesome is, I'm not dumb."
"Alright, lady (L/n) know things beyond her age." He teased.
"You'd be surprised." I teased back, wow, I got some nerve there.
He knew I have challenged him so he pulled me close as we walked through the city, put his arms around my shoulders. "A casino, perhaps?" He said.
"Sure."
We walked over a couple of streets, until we reached a big hotel, which we'll be sleeping in it tonight, the casino is at its basement.
"Play some slot?" He took me to the very part of the casino, these slot machines are everywhere, keeping another out of the sights.
"In case you forgot, sir. I'm broke as a joke."
He put 5 dollars in my hand. "Your starter."
I nodded, alright, I'm going to be rich now.
Then I lost all 5 dollars.
"Why? I swear it cheated me. No way I lost all that money for nothing." I hotheadedly said.
He patted my head with a laugh, put out one silver dollars from his pocket. Slide it in the machine, pushed the bet button.
Suddenly, he won the bet. The freaking machine spat out bunches of money for us.
"How did you do that?" I asked, eyes widened.
"I don't know." He smiled.
So what they say is true, rich people have the best luck, poor people like me have to struggle through everything.
I ended up following him at the poker table, fascinating by how good he is with cards and tricks. He cheated very smoothly once, I noticed so he winked at me
.
I lost all the number of how many glasses of wines he poured down his throat. Maybe I should have some? Everyone here is drunk as hell.
A server walked to my way, I called him and picked the blue color, something, drink. But before I even taste what the hell it was Mr.Parker walked in out of the blue, took the glass roughly from my hand and pulled it down the floor.
"Woah...why did you do that?"
"That server boy isn't the real one." He said, looking around, staying alerts.
"How did you know?"
"Because I own this place."
"Wait, what? Why are you owning everything? And why did you even gamble in your own casino-- why---" Before I could ask anything else, his bodyguards from every each corner of this place walked towards us, like 15 of them
They covered us like a circle, I swear I'm in some kind of action movie.
"Sorry. I wanted us to have a normal date, but they follow us all the way here."
"It's alright as long as I'm with you." I told him, we headed out the casino.
"Do not trust any of my guards too, alright? I think there's a rat." He whispered.
"Not even Jon?" I whispered back, could Jon be the bad one? I watched Jon from behind, leading us to a safe place. He is very loyal to Peter though.
"Well, maybe Jon and Nora." He said.
They escorted us to the elevator.
"We'll keep you secured all night long, no customers in or out tonight," Jon told us before the elevator door closed.
I sighed out softly, relieved. "You think that glass of wine was really poisoned?"
"I knew it. It's--- the spider sense thing. Started with goosebumps since I was like fifteen." He tried to put it out in the right way.
Almost forgot he's a superhero too... damn me.
"Do you miss battles?"
"Battles?" He repeated me, like I wasn't being clear enough.
"Going out there in your superhero suit. I think that would be more exciting than just running a business in an office. I've read Tony sta-- I mean, Mr.Stark's interview back then, he enjoyed it more than being a businessman."
He chuckled but there's something sad in his eyes. "Oh, I do. It's always better. But at one point I realized being a hero is not that fun, you know?"
"I'm trying to understand."
"Well, someone dies, or even myself almost died. I started everything so early, wanted to protect the world too soon. I'm better off this way."
I nodded slowly, we arrive at the very top floor of this hotel.
Before he walked out of the elevator, he left me mind blown once again.
"I have a new place to do battle though, super fun."
"Where is that, sir?"
He smirked. "Bed."
I want to cry.
