Avery was surprised because they didn't even insult her because of her inherent mark of ugliness unlike in the vampire kingdom they which almost killed her with the insult and humiliation of the many vampires like she was the ugliest thing they ever saw. Instead, these were men just remained silent and stared at her.
No one spoke nor one of those who seemed to be waiting for her to say something more. When her belly suddenly swelled and growl cutely, Avery unconsciously hold her stomach. She's hungry. It's been days since she didn't eat properly. The people quickly squirmed in front of her and disperse in a hurry to their respective areas.
"Hurry the Luna is hungry. Let's cook."
"Get some water."
"Bring the table and chair here."
"Take the fruit I prepared inside the camp."
