Chapter 15 - Internal fight.

*Clang!*Clang!*Clang!* Exchanging blows at absurd speed Kenshin only left some small marks of cracked bones in the giant skeleton in his front, he dodged every single hit from his enemy and his speed increased every time he hit the monster, with the strength difference one hit and he was dead, but his fiery will didn’t let him be hit and all of his thoughts were focused on winning, he couldn’t let this monster take control forever, he would lose some day but not today! With a clear move he spinned mid-air and hit the weaker part of the skeleton’s skull with full force, making it flinch and take a step back to regain balance, almost falling. Not losing a second Kenshin sprinted towards the threat he was facing and his sword shone in a blinding green light as he striked the skeleton’s ribs. *Bam!* One of the ribs dug into the skeleton’s chest, if this thing had lungs the left one would be punctured now, the fight would be a lot easier if this happened, but sadly for Kenshin it’s body was bones-only, no organs at all. Getting back on its feet the giant swung his hand to slap Kenshin, but he cleverly transferred the impact with his feet and used it to jump far away from his enemy, softly landing on the ground. Kenshin was grinning now, after this clash he had the upper hand, not that much but every bit was necessary for him now. Rushing towards the skeleton Kenshin avoided it’s fist and stuck his weapon on the back of it’s hand, with a loud roar the skeleton sook Kenshin off and looked at it’s skeletal hand, noticing that the hole was too small to have any real effect he kept chasing Kenshin around. Rolling on the ground Kenshin avoided the skeleton’s left foot only to see his right hand coming to grab him, reacting fast he jumped over the hand and left a chip on it’s back using the metal bar he held, the skeleton didn’t give up his chase but Kenshin kept dodging the incoming hits with unprecedented skill. Kenshin’s skills and reflexes combined with his body’s agility was what kept him alive until now, it didn’t matter if the opponent had unbeatable power, with this strategy he slowly hurt his foes until the fight was won, he didn’t use a strategy like this in the last decade at least, because no one could overpower him, but that was different with his current opponent, cause the stronger Kenshin got the stronger his opponent got too, he would always be above him cause this was the manifestation of the undead curse he had, his chi was slowly turning against him, if it was a normal person they would have lost long ago and turning into an undead. The skeleton punched with all it’s force, the ground beneath their feet turned into nothing with just the pressure of this fist and Kenshin’s body gravitated towards the punch, it was so strong that it could create false gravity! Kenshin just smiled seeing this, he let the fist attract his body at full speed but changed his posture to kick the skeletal hand, crashing in the fist he wasn’t turned into a pool of blood and mashed flesh as the skeleton expected but instead spinned his whole body, redirecting the blow’s strength and jumping high above his opponent’s head still spinning. *Bam!*Gwaaah!* Falling at amazing speed still spinning Kenshin used all the strength he redirected from the skeleton’s punch, and awoke the chi in his leg turning it into a green candle all for one blow, a heavy hammer kick that opened a hole in the skeleton’s skull and made it scream in pain. “Huff huff, I didn't know you could really feel any pain, you’re an interesting thing.” Kenshin retreated as fast as he could, that hit exhausted him but Kenshin was happy with this outcome, even if he was exhausted his enemy was deeply wounded now, there was no way this thing could fight like before with such wounds. Opposed to what Kenshin thought the skeleton was even faster now, trying to grab him non-stop, exhausted like he was, Kenshin couldn’t resist and fell into his foe’s hands. *c***k!*c***k!*A smile formed in the frightening skeletal mouth and the skeleton started squeezing Kenshin, his bones started cracking and probably one or two of his internal organs already had stopped working, the pain was unbearable, but Kenshin had to clear his mind, he needed to think straight or else he wouldn’t be able to escape this one. *s***h!* Kenshin abandoned his metal bar and decided to focus on the sword in his heart, concentrating his chi in two of his fingers he sent a sword light below hitting the joints of the skeleton’s lower 3 fingers, slashing them open and leaving enough space for Kenshin’s escape. Kenshin stopped a bit far from the skeleton and coughed lots of blood, he was almost unable to stand up properly, and even using his chi with his medical skills to heal his body he could only adjust his bones and weld the tips, avoiding further damage to his organs. Outside his mind Kenshin started coughing blood, almost as much as he coughed in the illusory world of the battle, this startled both Kyoko and Hori and made them grow worried. “Dad! Dad! What’s happening? Are there any wounds I didn't see? Dad!” Kyoko quickly jolted towards her father and started using her chi to sense the insides of his body while trying to heal anything that wasn’t healed. “Calm down Kyoko! I’m worried too, but i know it’s natural, the results of his internal fight are starting to show in the surface, we can’t help right now, but if it took so long for the first signs to appear that means he isn’t losing, but fighting fiercely and holding on even if his opponent is so strong.” Hori calmed Kyoko and explained the situation without signs of worry. She was indeed worried inside but all she could do now was trust Kenshin and try not to lose hope. “Will my father win, Aunt Hori?” Kyoko’s tears started flowing again and she was gritting her teeth and holding her father’s hand tightly as if she feared he would be forever gone the moment she stopped holding. “Your father wouldn’t lose, he wouldn’t lose to anyone in the world, don’t you trust Daddy? The Kenshin i know is stronger than anyone else, and even if someone is way stronger they can’t beat him in a fight, he has this fighting instinct that guided his path through so many impossible fights, let’s just wait and soon he will open his eyes.” Hori knew that Kenshin wouldn’t lose, she was worried but knew her worries were just i***t, a threat that Kenshin can’t get past? That was nonsense. “Thank you Aunt! Yes we need to trust Dad, he can’t lose, I never saw anyone he couldn’t beat, this time it won’t be different.” Kyoko decided to trust Master Hori’s words and her father’s power, he wouldn’t lose, still holding his hand tightly Kyoko gave him a light kiss on the forehead.
