POV: Millie The bar is packed. So many people have shown up that they're spilling onto the sidewalk, and I'm lucky to find a parking spot close enough to walk. I grab my purse and push through the door like I have every right to be here. Except I don't, and everyone knows it. First come the stares - long looks that take in everything from my shoes to my hair. Then the conversations drop to whispers as I walk by. The crowd opens up just enough to let me through, but nobody actually talks to me. An invisible bubble follows me around, making it clear I'm the outsider here.
