Ezekiel POV
-She likes us! She likes us! She is ours! Shouts Joel in my mind jumping around like a lovesick puppy.
I take the sticky note with her number and thank her again. “Thank you very much, I’m so glad you accepted my invitation. If you decide to bring your child please know it’s more than okay. I would love to get to know him.” She blushes again. I already love her reactions. Maybe Joel is right and she can feel the bond but just doesn’t realize what it is. As if to distract me from her reaction she responds, “Please don't forget to inform your parents about David’s great work in class and tell them to feel free to contact me with any questions. Oh, And….you can text me later in regards to the coffee...you were my last group so please excuse me I must clean up and get back to my son”
“I will do everything as you've asked. I will talk to you later, beautiful.” We leave the classroom and head to the truck. As soon as we are seated in the truck my brother starts talking excitedly. “Man you are lucky, Ms. Sanchez is one of the most beautiful humans I know. I can't believe she's your mate. I mean she is your mate right because I've never seen you interested in any female EVER. But won't her having a son be a problem? I mean, dad has already been trying to look for a ‘worthy she-wolf’ to be your Luna. It's great you found your mate and all but Dad's pretty traditional. But her being your true mate has to count for something right? You know tradition-wise.”
“Little bro, I've been thinking about all that and more. My brain is running at a thousand miles per hour. I have to convince dad somehow she belongs at my side as my true Luna. I mean now that I finally found her I can't imagine being without her or even contemplate someone else.”
-J- She is our chosen one, there can be no other! -I Know “but her being human is not so bad. After all, we bring many into the pack all the time and change the majority of them. Her son is the one thing that will complicate the situation, there is the family, and the father to consider -J-the father is not to be considered, he hurt our mate!- …a lot goes into raising a child, and unlike an adult who can make the decision to completely change their way of life a child has many more people who are part of the decisions that impact their lives. Most Grandparents weigh in on child-rearing and consistently check in on the growth and happiness of the child. But instead of circling all the implications of that. I'm just gonna talk to dad right away. David nods in agreement then says, “Hey she might not even be fully human.” “What do you mean?” I responded.
“I’ve seen her eyes change colors, especially when we are outside. Sometimes there are green specks, or even gold or blue. She tells us it’s just a cool genetic mutation that her eyes change color depending on the light. But that could be just something she says to seem normal. She could be a witch that is good at disguising her scent or a fallen angel. But whether or not she is human she is an amazing being and I think she would make a great Luna.”
I smile at what David said. She will be our Luna. I will make sure of it.
