Chapter 2- Waking up

Luke's POV

"Uugh .. My head .. Damn! It hurts! Why does my head hurt like this?". I open my eyes and check my surrounding but no one's around all I can see is a big room. I force myself to stand up and went to the glass wall, I don't know if this is a wall or a window doesn't matter then when I was inches away I was shocked, I was in a high building, I can see everything where I was standing all around outside this building, if you look outside you'll see forest surrounding the place then other building not so far away from here. Then while I was observing I heard footsteps coming outside my room looking towards it, the door opened when I was about to open it. A girl with long purple hair, she has left side bangs, sharp red eyes, thin red lips, an oval face, and her skin is white as snow and it looks smooth, is she a model? Her height is 180cm I'm sure of it. Just looking at her I feel dominated, she's a beauty but what's up with a poker face it gives a cold aura.

"Aren't you done looking at me?" The beauty asked me.

"Eh? .. Ah! Uhmm. Yeah. I'm just observing my surrounding, and ... ahem sorry for being rude at you", I stammered then I look sideways when our eyes met.

"Alright. How are you?".I let her in while I serve her tea since that's the only available in my room, the tea has a sweet aroma and its color looks rich in nutrients because of its golden color.

"My head hurt when I woke up but it also gradually disappeared, aside from that .. I think I'm okay". My answer.

"Alright, then may I ask you something?"

"Sure", I said immediately because I also wanted to ask him something.

"Then .. what's your name?", He asked naturally.

"My name is- .. is- .. What? Ugh. My name is-, w-why? Why I don't remember my name?", I raised my head and asked her in a panic,

"Now that I think about it, I- I don't remember anything about myself, or anyone, uhm ..-" I added when she suddenly spoke.

"Stop. Calm down. Don't push yourself and take a rest, I'll call for a healer later, you still need to recover after all the time you've been in a coma, you need to familiarize yourself first. I'll be going now ". Even before she left, I asked her

"Wait, Miss. Tell me. How long did I stay in a coma?", My heart beats faster, I look straight at her eyes then she opens her mouth.

"My name is Evangeline Yuu just call me Eve and to your question, it's been 5 years. I'm going now, press the bell on the table if you need anything someone will come for you".

I was stunned the moment I heard that it's been 5 years. I nod my head to say I understand because I can't speak from what I heard as if the word to be said is blocked.

When he closed the door all my strength was gone, I just felt like I was fainting and tears were flowing in my eyes, I don't know why I was crying, is it because I don't remember anything? Or because right now I feel like I'm an empty shell? after that, I don't know how long I cried. After I woke up I went back to my bed and thought about what I would do, in the five years I was unconscious a lot has changed and I think getting to know my current situation is the first step after all I can't remember who I am or what happened before I was unconscious for five years. Then while thinking about everything, I feel exhausted then fall asleep.

When Eve came out of the room and went straight to the elevator, there's 301 floors in this building and from the 100th floor, she gently presses the 300th-floor button. If someone is around they will see her lips curve up, her smile can make anyone fall in love with her. She was shocked earlier when she saw patient 000 standing because over the 5 years she always looking after him and now that he's awake she feels like she did a good job. She lost the smile on her lips when she remembered that he lost his memories, which means he didn't remember anything or who she was.

"Geez. We barely knew each other in that short time before that accident and now to think he will lose his memory hmm. I don't know much about him, I will just say whatever story he said to me back then". she mumbled to herself then the elevator stopped on the 300th floor she walked out and directly went to the only door on the 300th floor the Director's Office, she knock twice.

"Director it's Eve", then "Come in", replied the person in the room.

He opened the door and sat down on the sofa without permission.

"Do you want tea, juice, water, or coffee?", The Director asked even though his attention was still on the papers she was holding.

"Tea", Eve's short reply

The Director motioned to the maid standing by her side.

"So did you visit him again?", The Director asked.

"Yup", Eve replied.

"He woke up after 5 years and I think he lost his memory, I just don't know if it was because of the accident that happened then or because of the change that happened in 5 years", she added.

"You talk a lot when it comes to him, anyway so you're saying it might be the effect of the world change? Eve, I think it was because of the accident before rather than the effect of world change, I know you know that ever since the world change people IQs's doubled, our knowledge increased and all-in-all humans improved a lot ", Director said.

"Now that he's awake we can check if he has the ability and asks him whatever he wants to do next, and we will just support him like other patients", the Director added.

"What if he wants to join us?", Eve asked while sipping tea.

The Director looked at her with dark eyes, and a serious face it added to her charm while her black hair hung on her shoulder.

"If that's the case then he needs to be ready, you know not anyone can join us just because they want, they need to earn and tell through action that they are worth it", replied the Director

"I understand Director May",

"Alright you can go now", Eve stood up and left the office.
