FILMING THE FARM GIRL
"Freja emailed," I said excitedly. "She wants to visit America."
"That could be fun." Guy added, "lots of fun."
"There's something else," I said.
"What?"
"She actually is wondering if she could spend the summer with us. She needs a place to stay for three months."
That caught my hubby slightly off guard.
Freja is a lovely young girl we met when we were on tour in Sweden last year.
She had just turned eighteen when we met her. She was quintessentially Swedish: a farmer's daughter living in a tiny rural farmstead outside of a very small village. She had piercing blue eyes, long blonde hair (which she usually kept in a milkmaid braid), porcelain white skin and a very shapely, trim figure.
