3 Premonition Meredith THE NEXT FEW DAYS WERE EXHILARATING. While we waited for probate to go through on Mike’s estate we drew up our strategy for the new Maynard Center. I wanted to call it the Mike Maynard Center, but the Captain vetoed that saying that it was too specific. If we hoped to keep the Maynard board on side we should tie the name of the center to the shipping line. We spent every non-working hour jotting down lists of action points and then digging down deeper into the fine detail. The Captain employed architects to draw up plans for the extension to the stables and these were submitted for planning permission.
