The Beginning

The sun on its way to the hazy horizon,

The night set to engulf the light.

The winds taking a new direction,

With birds already in flight.

The darkness approached,

The dim lights turned on,

Desperate to fight for their life.

And there was I,

Sitting and watching,

Staring at the sun drowning,

It’s the end of another day without you…
